@@StatesideStash I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but you have it backwards. The Angel side of the coin is actually the REV and the Coat of Arms in the OBV. Seems like it should be the other way around, but it isn't.

Without a doubt my favorite WORLD coin. Pure class. The US MINT could learn a lot from the Mexican Mint 😊. A lot of history behind this coin. If collectors cared to learn more about the history of this coin the more they would probably buy 😊

Beautiful coins they are! They don’t come up for sale very often here in Sweden and when they do they carry a hefty premium. It’s my favorite bullion coin and if i can get them for 35-40$ at the auctions i’m a buyer🙂

Obverse = Mexican coat of arms, reverse = angel of independence. So many get this reversed. But I agree it is the nicest government bullion out there IMO.

In 2018 and 2019, the Mexican Mint put out 1, 2, and 5 oz silver Libertads with an antique finish. You can find mintages for all Libertads on Wikipedia.

I think the libertad is nice. However, the only thing that matters to me is the premium and the sell back price plus how liquid is the round? I live in Panama now. Panamanians don't care about silver or gold. Its not easy to liquidate metals where I live. It takes longer and you receive less on the sale than when you sell in the US.

Very true! You have to adapt to where you live. Buying a bunch of silver you can’t get rid of does you no good. I will say that the libertads do a fantastic job at holding their premium

For me, I am going to be stacking libertads and eagles exclusively due to the resale value. During the silver squeeze the premiums for both skyrocketed but the libertads were on another level selling for $60+ I really like the reverse proof coins but cant pull the trigger yet.

My local jewelry shop guy has a few coins in his shop. One is a 86 proof Libertad. Think he’s askin about 80 much for it. I don’t think it’s been opened ever, and def consideri my grabbing it. Gonna check if it has the DDO on it. Shoots the value up to like 2 grand 😮

Libertads are an absolutely beautiful coin but local coin shops and online dealers will probably only offer you spot price for them when you go to sell them. You will almost never be able to recoup the high premiums they charge when they're selling them to you.

Libertads are beautiful! My favorites are the reverse proofs. However, they are too expensive. I may pick one up in the future if I could get a good deal but I am not holding my breath.

@@StatesideStash The US Mint should really learn a few things from other mints. More variety is needed. The only thing I buy from them now are reverse proof Peace dollars (the most beautiful Lady Liberty IMHO) and US Military medallions.

Absolutely love that reverse proof 5 oz'er! Libertads are definitely one of my favorite world coins, especially my 2 oz reverse proof (not graded). Would love to get the reverse proof in all the other sizes including the kilo but I definitely don't have a good enough base stack to condone that premium. Once I'm up to around 1k Oz's I figured I can afford to get some of the more crazy pieces. I do have last years 1 oz Narco Libertad with only 100 minted and love it.

i have some off those , no idea one selle her trde the actual year 1oz for 34,50 euro and ther is a big pricespread that i woud nevr pay on thos fom 40 to 300 euro in on as to oz means you can slso that 300 euro for a one oz as saame fo aff an 2 oz ...ect

the total mintage for the type 1 bullion silver eagles from 1986 - 2021 is 611,836,482 that's a lot of silver eagles and that's why I buy the Libertad's they will always hold there value.
