Apparently, when you put on a Mexican sombrero, your entire identity changes. In this case, Sub-Zero's accent completely changed, and probably has to live with a Latino accent for the rest of his life.

As a Spanish/English bilingual, whose 1st language is Spanish, AND grew up watching all kinds of media with Sebastián Llapur’s voice since childhood, it felt SO ODD to hear his voice speak in English! He did voice the Latin Spanish version of Sub Zero in MK X, Injustice 2 and MK 11 as well.
