If you guys are planning a redo in Maza with no kids, I definitely recommend going for Carnaval! Usually it’s around Feb-March. Stay at a regular hotel (non-resort) or Airbnb, Ubers were dummy cheap when I went as well😮‍💨

The first thing I noticed holy crap they look so skinny and fit😂 Idk why I always get sick when I go to Mexico Herbalife literally saves my life every time! Traveling with kids is hard but rewarding because of the experience!

Blanca and Jonathan, you guys are the kind of people I will not enjoy traveling with lol If you have to convert 24/7 with pesos to dollars as you’re spending. It’s a shame you didn’t enjoy your trip but also a shame staying in resorts that really don’t enhance what Mazatlan has to offer. There’s many all inclusive hotel boutiques owned by Mexicans that are much more enjoyable, although you will always find it full of gringos which is already a NO for me.

Best way to go when going to mazatlan is get a hotel en zona dorada near the malecón specially with babies as soonest kids get tired you can go back to the room take a little rest then later y’all can go and hang out at the malecón it gets pretty cool in the evenings speaking with experience we go every year since my husband is from Sinaloa 😉

Guys something I have learned is if you are mexican do not stay in RESORTS lol the food is the worst, its way more fun trying out restaurants in tourist zone or in the outskirts of the town its way cheaper and really good. I always do my research online for good suggestions

Girl when my husband got his residency I had to fly to him alone with my 3 kids .. my first time flying and my baby was 6 months old .. I swear I almost curled up in a ball and cried on the airport floor lol.. the flight attendant saw me and asked if I was ok and I explained EVERTHING LOL she was like oh my goodness sweetheart going to sit with you .. she talked me through the turbulence held my hand while I breast fed and took my oldest to the bathroom. Diosito me la mando and I will forever be indented with her. It is so hard traveling with kids.. but I’m so happy y’all made it back safe and sound!❤

Girly, I was in Mexico for two weeks, we drove from Colorado. I took my 4 month old and I feel you on the drained part with a baby lol it’s just hard!!! I also got sick out there and lost 6lbs! I was miserable but then I was like well bye bye baby weight 😅 we got back this week and I’m still sick

That happened to us in Cancun. We stayed on resort and let me tell you that food was disgusting like Blanca said it was catered more to towards Americans in Canadians because the food was not good. I prefer to cook in the room with stuff. I know what taste better than to get food from the buffets.

I been to Mazatlán more then 4 times we never stayed in the new Mazatlán to be honest . I recommend you guys stay at the best western in old Mazatlán. The breakfast is included and we never been sick . Taquerias by there are delicious 🤤 hope next time you have fun 🤩 it’s beautiful

Crazy that you guys first went to the Pueblo Bonito in the Zona Dorada and wanted the tiktok one aka Emerald Bay 😅 My husband and I stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Zona Dorada location and they have musicos on the beach and the food was AMAZING. We actually got the day pass and took their shuttle bus to check out the emerald bay location and were also shocked at how bad the food quality was compared to the smaller sister hotel we were staying at. Definitely recommend you guys to stay at the Pueblo Bonito in the Zona Dorada next time. Its so close to the malecon, clubs, and the port so you can do excursions.

Mexico is hot. And they have a lot of mosquitoes is just Mexico. Depends when you go. I live in Texas so I'm used to all that. San Luis has beautiful weather all year I think . Now el dollar subio so thats why everything is so expensive. It's the same as here. Except here we get paid in dollars. And over in Mexico is in pesos. But you spend the same amount as you would take a trip here . With two kids I bet it was hard specifically for the kids who are on a schedule at home. The food the environment for us is hard imagine for them it's a change. Well glad you guys had a safe return.

I get you guys 100% traveling with kids is so hard. I been traveling with my 4 kids 3 of which are triplets girls so all in toddler phase and its so hard especially because my husband hasn’t been able to fly with us yet still in process to hopefully one day be able fly with us. But geez its the hardest thing especially when they get sick and they get fussy because its such a long exhausting experience for them but I love that they get to experience flying with me atleast. Thank God for my sisters and parents that help me out. So happy for you Blanca that you finally got to go to Mexico makes me believe there is light at the end of the tunnel for my hubby.

Omg I wonder what it is in Mexico right now everyone is getting sick 🤢 We came back from Cancun and literally 7 of us came back sick. The kids were vomiting and had diarrhea for over a week. Then my suegros were coming back and my suegros was throwing up at the airport from both ends. IDK if it was the food or a virus going around in Mexico but it was bad my niece ended up in the ER for a couple days.

Omgggg yes def recommend maza outside of the resorts. Sooooo many delicious restaurants. Also side note- Pueblo bonito is owned by Ernesto Coppel who most recently made headlines about wanting to ban live bandas from playing on the beach. Why? Because he wants to cater to white Americans. This was a big thing a few months ago. He finally agreed to allow it but as much as I think the installations are beautiful I just wouldn’t want to go to that resort lol Anyway when you guys go back I defffff recommend el muchacho alegre for mariscos on the beach. It’s such a vibe y tienen música en vivo 🎉🎉🎉😜

Omg I’m so sorry your Mexico all inclusive was bad! We have our timeshare with Dreams/Secrets resorts. Dreams is catered for families, Secrets is adults only. We have taken our daughter to 2 Mexico trips (Cancun and Puerto Vallarta) and my god the vibes are there for the kids. The food is so good, they have a mini area in the buffet for them with mini plates 🥹 and a kid club where they have activities for the kiddos all day! You should take a look. My husband and I are itching to go to the Mazatlán location that they just opened, it’s a dreams so family friendly resort! Primero Dios, el próximo año podremos ir!

Mexico is expensive now because us foreigners made it expensive, ESPECIALLY for the locals lol. If the peso value goes up, that’s good for us but not the locals. Also, Mexico isn’t a tipping country, most likely in the tourist areas it is. And the tourists areas like Mazatlán are always gonna be way more expensive than el rancho.

Good morning! Watching this so early from California! Woke up to make my husband breakfast and lunch for work and can’t go back to sleep so washed dishes and cleaned the kitchen while watching you guys 😅congrats on your residency Blanca! Just wanted to talk a little about my husband and I’s experience with getting his 2yr residency :) My husband and I had to leave to El Salvador for an interview in order to receive his 2yr residency card. That interview determined whether he was able to come back or not…it was the MOST emotional and stressful thing we had to do…everyone kept telling us it’s not a good idea they aren’t going to approve you and your are going to have to stay over there and all your hard work is going to go down the drain…at that point we had already bought a house and owned our own business, so we did have a lot to loose…when we were at the embassy in El Salvador I literally had to take a shit lmao 😅because I was SO freakin nervous, and not cause you’re doing something wrong, just that fact that these people have the power over you. When our interviewer said you’re approved we were like in shock but at the same time we had went in so prepared with paperwork and just with a little bit of the mindset that there is absolutely no reason why they should deny us. It was not a relief until we received his passport back after a couple weeks from the interview(total stay in El Salvador: 1 month) because my mind kept thinking “ugh what if they loose it or they say they’re backed up and won’t be able to get it done for who knows how long” fast forward to when we got to LAX we go down the excalator to get our luggage and we see the big ol American flag we just felt so much weight lifted off 🥲Fast forward to NOW and he’s an American Citizen 🇺🇸🙌🏼 2018 filed paperwork 2019 interview/2yr 2021 2nd interview for 10yr residency 2023 US citizen test and Approved❤

Glad you get to travel back to Mexico. Always travel with activated charcoal or buy Treda when in Mexico. The food is so good at Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan and you could of gone to the other hotel. They provide transportation between hotels. At Emerald-bay there's always more foreigners. The drinks are better at Emerald-bay's pool. Stood there once and we always choose the other one. Hope you have a better experience next time.

Blanca, I’m so happy for you! You both def need to go back to Mazatlán! I’m curious to know which road you all took from Durango to Mazatlán because my boyfriend also drove us and there’s two roads. One is the dangerous one and the other is the safe one which is the new one they built. (el paisaje está hermoso on this road, it reminds me of Colorado so much - I live here too!). I stayed in the Pueblo Bonito hotel near el Malecón and it was great service and room was so nice. Food was alright, but I think with hotel food you will never get authentic food. If you go back def go on a boat ride where there’s an open bar and snacks and a banda que anda tocando al cien. El Sinaloense and Muchacho Alegre on the Malecón are a vibe with las bandas que tocan, but there’s usually a bit of a wait to get in. Overall, I had a great time when I went. I hope you both get to go back and have a better experience! 😊

Mazatlán is beautiful and honestly I don't think you guys had the experience especially because your kids are so small and it's draining you basically need a vacay after your vacation tbh! Go back and try to do another hotel that isn't a resort because outside there is so many things to do & enjoy.

Hola!!!!! ☀️ les cuento :Todas las veces que he ido a Mazatlán me he quedado en Pueblo Bonito Mazatlán (el que esta cerca del Malecón) y la verdad la comida es muy buena, lo único que es como ustedes dicen, esta casi la mayor parte es dirigida a los US Citizen pesar de ser un lugar en Mexico. Por lo tanto la música es en ingles, no se permite contratar música de banda tampoco pero siento que hay mucha mas variedad de comida en este que en Emerald bay. Me toco visitar emerald bay la ultima vez que me hospede (ya que cuentan con un camion que puedes tomar y ir a usar las instalaciones del opuesto hotel en el que te estas quedando) por ejemplo: yo me hospede en Pueblo Bonito y tome un camion que ofrece el hotel que te lleva a Emerald Bay para usar sus instalaciones (alberca,restaurantes, playa, spa) y estoy 100% de acuerdo que la comida ahi es malisima!! NADA de variedad!!!!!! Emerald bay la verdad es como para que vallan los viejitos LOL😂 i didnt like it at all!!!!!!!! Pero Pueblo bonito Mazatlan, es mucho mejor, tiene 3 restaurantes y un buffet, mucha mas variedad!

Jajjajaja I’m commenting as I’m listening to you”alls expierience! When my husband and I went on honey moon we had ate a Menudo (a relative made)robably wasn’t cleaned well(no idea) the morning before leaving to the airport. It tore our stomach up. 💩 We literally fought the restroom for 2 days lol. Now we laugh about it. But yeah it sucks to be sick in another country on a trip that’s supposed to be relaxing

If you ever go back to Sinaloa you have to go eat at Panama. So much food variety for adults and kids. Food poisoning on vacation is the worse 😢hope u guys get to go back and have a better experience
