A trip to Mexico isn’t complete without a visit to one (or many) Cenotes. These freshwater limestone sinkholes are located all throughout the Yucatan peninsula. Which one should you visit? Will your kids like them? How cold is the water? In this video I share my thoughts as we visit several different cenotes all throughout the Yucatan. Exploring these places with my wife and kids was a pleasure on a recent trip to Mexico. We cut short our time at the beach so we could find and explore more cenotes.
There's a whole lot to see in Mexico just a short drive from Cancun and Playa Del Carmen. Yes, the beaches are nice, but if you desire a little adventure there are some great places to visit such as Chichén Itzá, Tulum, and (of course) dozens of different cenotes. I share my thoughts and opinions on visiting this area... there are definitely different ways to visit Mexico. The beaches are great, but the Yucatan is also a great place to experience more than just sun and sand!
