I never knew such a place existed. Beautiful. Must be exhilarating to experience in person. Caves, and a beautiful mountainside, waterfalls, pools... Seems like the perfect vacation spot.

How much does it cost for entry?
@oscarlugo87612 жыл бұрын
NOT expensive at all: $160? Mex pesos = approx. $8 USD for the ENTIRE DAY, cash only. Due to location in a deep, thermal-water canyon (water temps around 95 degrees F) in the Eastern Sierra Madre mountain range, there is NO wifi either, but bring water shoes, towel & a sleeping bag if you don't mind camping in a riverside tent. (Lots of parking, good restaurants, but hotels do NOT take reservations online, by phone, or otherwise. So arrive very EARLY on a Monday or Tues. to ensure hotel room is available! TOO CROWDED on weekends/holidays!!)

It would be amazing if it was natural, it's a shame it's all man made
@oscarlugo87612 жыл бұрын
Only the cliffside pools, the bridge in front of them, the zip-line, and the tunnel below the pools are "man-made." (Nothing "man-made" about a natural spring cave with a grotto inside, a cave underneath, and a thermal river flowing down for THOUSANDS of years...)

I first went in 1986 when there was absolutely NO development. Then I noticed it was just as clean when I returned over 30 years later. (I think maintenance clean all the pools and everywhere else on Wednesdays.)
