That was amazing ! I never knew there was such a place as this. I walked through Tulum and it totally blew me away ! To walk in the same footsteps as someone else 1000's of years before, see their creations within reaching distance....I was literally speechless. To see a place like this.....OMG....that would be amazing ! Mexico...so rich in the most meaningful ways regarding history....culture....WOW....I will have to see this place. It is now on the list. Great video !

Hey Dhar, it would be awesome to work together with tourism in CDMX or in Mexico! I have emailed a few tourism offices in Mexico but I have not heard back. Of course The New Travel continues to grow, so maybe I should try again? Amazing city, a must in México. When ancient Mexicas (pronounced as Meshicas) arrived to the Anáhuac valley (today´s Mexico City), Teotihuacán used to be abandoned for many centuries ago, thats why Mexicas believed this city was builded by the Gods, it never was occupied again but used only for ceremony purposes such as "The new sun ceremony" that started a new century of 52 years each! The real name of the city is unknown even today, due to no writing was left, Teotihuacán name was given by the Mexicas which means "The place where men become Gods". Thanks for sharing!!!!

Visit Los atlantes de Tula, its the same experience, a really interesting historic place, and you will see the temple of Quetzalcoatl, The feathered serpent, and there are a lot of misteries of how they did it and their meaning and what they are, because they dont resemble with the rest of the warriors in that time, nor even their weapon that seems to be flamethrowers, something that wasnt possible in that time. They are a complete mistery, they are the mexican equivalent to the Moai at Rapa Nui. And i would like to sya, that the atlantes are even more fascinating and misterious.

Hola Dan & Yuri. Im glad you guys finally went to Teotihuacan. I recomended it because if you like history, this is good start. My dad was ex military he said that back in the day, they would go early mornings to run up those pyramids and back to their base in the 70s. I would recommend you to visit the mecca of soap operas: Televisa. Televisa is like Hollywood but the version of soap operas or who knows maybe you guys might get hired since you have this way of recording makes you feel like if we are actually there with you guys. Or you can visit the where celebrities get their handsprinted on some gallery or if you wana go to Basilica de Guadalupe (worldwide televised every December)

If you ever go to the Península de Yucatán, that's a completely flat place (topographically speaking) with all rivers running underground: Every single hill and mountain you see over there is a Maya Pyramid; the Maya were notorious for destroying their ecosystems and having the need to constantly migrate and create new cities so the whole jungle over there is a tapestry of ancient maya cities.

Thats cool that they opened up the Temple of the Moon to travel further up the side of the pyramid. When I was there back in Nov they would only allow you to walk up to the main level and no further due to the huge earthquakes Mexico experienced just a few months earlier. We were able to go all the way to the top of the Pyramid of the Sun though. You should do a Vlog on a Luchadore match if you havent already, they get kinda crazy but are a lot of fun!

Of the entire city complex, only the 5% has been excavated. So we really don't know much about the teotihuacan people. However, we know for certain that the influence of this city during the classic horizon of mesoamerican history (200-900 AD) reached places as far as El Salvador in the south and the South West of the US in the north.
