Love that you’re taking time to get it right. Discerning. Usually, people relocate for a job, so the job market makes the choice a split second decision like we had. You can take time. Get it right. Know what you want and find your niche. Those vistas in the hills. The vibrant blue skies. Wow. And hope you didn’t have to climb those hills again to get to your accommodations! Books > movies. That suspension bridge…😮 The zip line feels safer! “Take it easy.” Huge good advice. Listen to your own…LOL! You really earned your meal. Shrooms! 🍄

@@EatBailaTravel It's just such a cool place for time lapses right!? With the sweeping views and the clouds moving in and out create excellent visual drama. San Mateo was originally in our sights, but last minute we treated ourselves to a private cabin with fireplace 5 minutes walk to San Jose Del Pacifico. Expensive (for MX, but worth it for us.) The next time we go up, we will see San Mateo for sure, we want to see/experience it in rainy season.

Beautiful! I love that time lapse shot at 7:00! As much as I like the beach, I love being in the mountains! (Some of the shots reminded me of our local mountains here in British Columbia). Thanks for featuring San Mateo - it is nice to see different options in the mountains. I have flown over - the most scenic flight was Tucan Air from Oaxaca - one day I hope to visit.

Hi Dan glad you enjoyed our video the mountains are beautiful and it was a good way to escape Puerto Escondido after our busy time there. The only issue for us was adjusting to the cold weather. ¡Buenos días, Jenny and Kevin! Los saluda Pepe. :-) It's great to connect with you two again! Jorge and I are approaching four months since we moved to Querétaro. We are finally feeling settled in and look forward to getting to know more of "Q" City and the Sierra Gorda ... as well as towns not far from our home in Zibatá, like Amealco and Huimilpan -- both are enchanting places! I enjoyed this video! You guys put a smile on my face. :-) Jorge and I visited Oaxaca City in October of 2020 and really liked it. We have also been to Huatulco and Pluma Hidalgo, a beautiful little town up in the mountains (about an hour and a half from Huatulco) where coffee is grown. Cuídense mucho, y sigan echándole ganas. A big ol' Texan hug to you both! Pepe (Joseph Quillian ... but in English I go more by Jody than Joseph ... and in Spanish, ¡"Pos", soy Pepe!) :-) :-)

100% correct, in a magical place like the mountains there's nothing better than enjoying the views! I love how crystal clear everything is and how vibrant all the colors are at elevation. Great video guys! You mentioned you were excited to live in Merida, just curious what made you change your mind. Great video like always!
@EatBailaTravel Жыл бұрын
You're right we were super excited about Merida and while it's still one of our favorite cities in Mexico, we decided it wouldn't be the best fit for the reasons 1. Rising cost of living and 2. extreme heat. Cost of living is going up everywhere I know, but the main issue here for us was real estate was so inflated we wouldn't be able to afford buying and the heat made it difficult to enjoy outdoors during the day time... and with traveling we've discovered more livable cities that may have what we're looking for 🙂

I feel like you guys missed a big opportunity to interview a local about the magic mushroom ceremonies, most of the videos out there are non bilingual people who don't understand the importance. There are even catholic churches in oaxaca who accept the practice of the magic mushroom ceremony within the church. Unfortunately for a lot of people in the US and Mexico there is still a negative stigma associated with them. I highly recommend the experience and they are definitely right about the intention behind wanting to use them.
