@Janek If your objective is to ultimately end up/work in Japan, then studying in Japan is such a safe and easy way to settle in Japan eventually. If you do your undergrad in your country you need to have at least jlpt N2 and 3-4 years of work experience in your field to get the Japanese employers to even read you resume fully.

@Emeand334 жыл бұрын
In Sweden, they don’t go by your grades but you will have to take an exam (math, English and Japanese). They chose the best out of the examinees and invite them for an interview. Then the best of these people will be chosen. So I assume it’s quite hard to get it.

So I understand from your video that before applying for the scholarship you have to first graduate, send in the application, wait for it to be accepted. Then take the examination and interview, after it will be sent over to the government where they will chose again. Final results Release in Sept. However I would I to know if we have to apply for the language schools or they will apply for us? As for Future 4 years of university we have to take the entrance exams to chosen universities during our language course right? Thanks for sharing, I am a high schooler in my last year of study and I'm just looking around for scholarships in Japan. Hope you reply soon
@nishi9mikan7 жыл бұрын
Hi:) Yes, you understand it right. About the language course - it is not a particular school where you have to apply. These courses are held in your university usually, most likely in a center for international students. Afte you come to Japan, you simply subscribe to a few japanese language courses you are interested in, you take them for a semester or two and get grades just as for any other courses. And about entrance exams - yes you take them either after 6 or 12 months after arriving. So you have time to finish the language courses before that. Good luck!
@BananaStab7 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for the video! I'm actually coming to Tokyo this October as a research student from MEXT. I still know very little of the language so I'll have to take the 6 months of Japanese. What I'm worried about now is the entrance exam. In my case my course will be in full Japanese so the entrance exam will probably be in Japanese. So what I wanted to ask is: In case you also had to take the entrance exam in Japanese and also went to Japan needing the 6 months of Japanese was it super hard to complete the exam? If that was not your case, do you know anyone that had a similar situation?
@nishi9mikan7 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes, that was my case as well - I came to study at the graduate school of Japanese linguistics, so my exams and all my classes were entirely in Japanese. But i did have JLPT N1 though. I think the content of the exams depends on the faculty and your major. In my case it was difficult, because I had written exams, and I had to write answers in japanese with all the hieroglyphs. And i couldn't use the dictionary of course. What is your major?
@BananaStab7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the response. My major is Animation, so theoretically it shouldn't be crazy hard. But since I'm still learning the language I'm a bit worried
@ginowin37627 жыл бұрын
BananaStab They have an animation option? is that in the specialized training category?
@BananaStab7 жыл бұрын
When you apply to the mext scholarship (for your masters) you can only apply to something that is related to your bachelor's degree, witch in my case was animation. Unfortunately I don't know much more than what you can learn from this video. I would suggest reading up on the information provided on your Japanese Embassy website or for the best results, talk to them in person, phone or mail.
