I’m so glad no found this video! It is very helpful. Quick question for a newbie just starting to post for sales, which platform do you recommend for a newbie for print on demand items?
@MeyTribe
@MeyTribe 2 жыл бұрын
Well, that depends on the type of art you're doing. Text designs & some illustrations, maybe start with RedBubble & Teepublic If you want a concept store, focusing on several products- Zazzle can be amazing And if you're illustrating larger files, or big patterns, - Society6 & Art of Where can be great (Art of where is also great for a concept store) Photography- def fine art america. It's all up to what art you're making, your niche, your file sizes. Also it's best to "use" the bigger platforms like RedBubble, as a practice run for eventually learning, evolving, and opening your own print on demand with Etsy or Shopify.

I glad you liked it ! I actually played around a bit more with these public domain artworks and procreate, will probably make a video on that in the next few days as well... @@MeyTribe How do you like the program call procreate? I just got a new 12.9 inch iPad about a week ago so that I could mess around with procreate a little bit. I have a bunch of traditional art supplies like hundreds of colored pencils and paper but wanted to try digital art! Oh thanks for the TeePublic information too. What would be cool is if you had the ability to print your art on a canvas with real paint!! I am dipping my toe into the NFT world to see what I can do while it is popular. I have some cool ideals in mind now after looking at your video.

I will def mention some of the classes I liked in tomorrow's video about my monthly overlook & goals. And will probably make targeted videos, like a type of product to sell + courses to help. I have been checking a lot of their courses these days. Acrylic paintings that are REAL are awesome!! Did you catch the video about turning physical abstract art into print on demand patterns ? Totally made it for people who make physical paintings: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGfXfKCFqMyCl5Y It was made to show on RedBubble, but could work with any print on demand platform.

Aah, Vincent van Gogh. My favourite artist. There is just something about his work and backstory that 'speaks' to me. Apart from the Sunflowers I especially love The Bedroom and The Yellow House. I was lucky enough to go to the van Gogh museum in Amsterdam for a birthday treat in 2017 and it was awesome and awe inspiring too. I will go back again as soon as I can 🙂

You can use public domain images to whatever you want. Do I do that ? Not that much. I made Zazzle tissue paper (to be reviewed in few days) with a Van Gogh painting, but It's not really something I personally do. I like creating my own art on procreate, or design tshirts and merch of things I like. But, this video was super requested, so i showed ways of using these pictures.

Ok public domain how do u find out if the sites are public domain ? How do u find out if a piece of art is copy right protected ?
@MeyTribe
@MeyTribe Жыл бұрын
To find public domain photo sites you Google: Public domain photo websites... There are so many out there. Then- you read the rules of the website, the terms of service, and their commercial use licencing. If you want to double check if a famous artwork featured there is indeed public domain, you simply Google that artwork's name + public domain, or copyright. You'll find the best and most direct answers that way. There are general laws about the time passing between an artwork creation and the death of the artist, but Google that to be sure.
@sunlight93339
@sunlight93339 2 ай бұрын
Although you won't like my honesty I'll give it to you anyway..."Graphic Designer"... Just seems like such a fancy title for someone who basically thieves other people's artwork, uses a computer program developed by someone else to chop it up, change the color and then profit from that theft while looking for ways to avoid attributing the original work to the actual artist... And then they dare to call themselves an "artist". Is your generation just not capable of producing artwork on your own, from your own imagination? You know..perhaps painting your own picture or coming up with your own design or pattern? No fancy words or way of describing this kind of theft for profit makes it okay..especially if your goal is to profit by avoiding or actually searching for ways to claim this work as your own without having to give credit to the original artist. It's really amazing how ethics seem to have just gone out the window when it comes to the internet. People like you will never be celebrated for your body of work or your process. Everyone can do what you do. Ergo, there is no originality to your work. I don't believe there is a single idea or work that you've created in the videos I've seen that is entirely your own work from your own imagination. We have an entire generation of people who have no imagination whatsoever. Thieving patterns and silhouettes from other artists is not imagination. Apparently the goal is to profit financially at any cost, as fast as possible without having to actually put in the work or any part of your emotional self. It's no wonder that when we speak about your generation we speak of a generation that is completely lost when it comes to the arts. The computer does everything for you after robbing famous artists of their work..after they're dead and gone. Honestly there are many artists... in fact most, who just find this kind of thievery despicable, primarily because it is thievery for profit without artist attribution. The lack of imagination and creativity is mind numbing. IMHO.

I have no problem with your honesty. I think that if someone was just doing the things in this specific tutorial they wouldn’t be called graphic designers. But you see, people asked a tutorial on something - I made it. It doesn’t take away the years I worked designing marketing posts for companies. Designing websites, products, or the fact that I have started illustrating my own clip art and paintings since 2019 (clip studio posing and later procreate) It’s like if a chef showed someone how to make the most basic sandwich - cause that’s what that person wanted. So nope, haven’t got an issue with your honesty, as it has nothing to do with me. The only thing I have to say is that telling a female you don’t know that she won’t be celebrated for her body is super creepy… I wish you truly all the best I hope that you’ll find out one day that a person can be more than what they show in a very specific and requested tutorial And that you’ll never decide to bring someone’s body into your lash out session about graphic design.
