Lots of wonderful thoughts and ideas! This year I want, finally, to gather all my traditional and digital art in order and start selling it. Mey, if you please include in one of your next videos this segment - I am in a need of a new computer. My old HP laptop ( 17", 32RAM/1TB) is pretty much spent and crashes every time I try to open any Adobe CC program, and I need something more powerful and with bigger screen (thou my desk with a shelf will allow for only 20 and 1/4 inches height, so I guess no more than 24") and storage. I am choosing between PC and Mac or iMac. For the same money I'd pay for Mac (Mini M4 (maxed) + monitor and accessories) I can buy more powerful All-in-one PC. Well, you see I am at a loss here. I understand computers more than average woman but not enough to get inside the box and add some parts. So, your input would be very helpful. Thank you.

hey Mey, some of your videos that really helped me were the Hostinger website building ones. I made a landing page following your video where I can link to my different shops, and then made one for my wellness POD shop, AI did amazing with it. I am really excited for a video on reels without your own photos. All templates I find make you add the photo or video. I want some stock type templates, like a video of coffee being poured or someone hicking, things I can quickly post with a nice saying just targeted to my niche.

Hi Mey, I would most be interested in seeing the How to use Pantone for Home Decor Designs; Business Roadmap to outline step by step what platform and tools to use first, second and third (because it’s confusing what to start first: a Canva website? A Hostinger website? And do you offer the same or diff products on each platform? A Substack newsletter? And what is the reasoning behind each?); every tool/platform you use and for what; how best to analyze competitors strategies; and the 50/30/20 marketing rule. All your other video ideas are great as well and I look forward to those too! Your sound seems fine by the way; didn’t really have any issues listening. Have a great week! 🤓
@MeyTribeКүн бұрын
Hey, thanks for taking the time to comment, and off course- mentioning the sound quality- I was really worried about that LOL as for the road map- it won't actually tell you what to choose, if to choose a Hostinger website or a Canva or Wordpress or Substack. It will be the overall approach to your online business. I think that all website builders are valuable when they fit YOU and what you wanna do with them. For example- if you wanna sell print on demand with your own supplier- Using a canva site is not good- as they don't integrate, same with the Hostinger builder. OR- if you want a big blog like a magazine with multiple categories and an extensive side bar- Substack isn't for you. But I think i know what you mean, it's more about the breakdown of each tool, which I will have on the new website, and perhaps now I think to also make a video about which website builder to use. So, thank you for the detailed comment :)

Break down the pros and cons of each model, to help aspiring entrepreneurs decide which path aligns with their goals. Whether it’s carving out a loyal following with unique, tailored products or casting a wider net for mass appeal. - Digital Downloads (where to sell besides CF?) - Make money with free BLOG - Make money giving everything for FREE While I will watch anything you post (and ALWAYS "👍🏻" them), I'm most interested in something MY people can afford - which is NOT MUCH! This is why I would rather sell a bunch of digital designs for $1 - $3 each, than upload to a POD site with products too expensive for them to buy. I've gotten MANY hits on CF for free downloads, but no memberships or individual art purchases🥺.....yet. Oh, I almost forgot......A video about what we're all doing WRONG might be a good one to START the new year (or END 2024???)???
@MeyTribe2 күн бұрын
OK so- I wasn't gonna make a digital download WHERE to sell, but I added it. BTW, CF is mostly for commercial use assets, and I can tell you now that my recommendation would always be to sell on your own website, not a marketplace. Make money with free blog- wasn't on the list. Blogging can be done on multiple platforms, a free one would be substack- so there will be a video on substack ! Noted the 3rd suggestion as well :) I was thinking to add a video on how to start a business for free VS with 100$ for example. perhaps that should also be a topic for January. Can I ask- when you say "my people" what do you mean ? where are you from ? and yeah, CF pays very little these days due to them lowering their memberships costs so much...

So "Email marketing for Print on demand" is probably the closest on the list to what I'd want to see the most. However, what I'm really looking for is just how to blog or do email newsletters as an artist about my art and about the products I'm selling my art on, whether it's print on demand or digital products, and how to actually get people to subscribe. I've tried watching marketing videos for artists for things like email newsletters and blogging, but most of them seem to be geared towards traditional artists using physical media, and as a digital artist, much of what is said in these videos feels like it doesn't really apply to me. I'd love to see this topic handled in a way that could be relevant to both traditional and digital artists. Other topics from the list that I'd be interested in seeing are: -Faceless marketing that works (preferably also voiceless). -How to market ANYTHING using Freebies? -How to make money giving EVERYTHING for free? -The superpower you have that AI can never compete with. -How to create awesome Instagram reels (multiple options). For this one I'd like to see options that you create fully on your computer or other device without actually having to film things with your phone/camera. -Online business based on your Human Design (3 parts series). -The future of Print on demand is… Printables? -Why I hate print on demand now (and how I fixed it)
@MeyTribe2 күн бұрын
If you are looking mostly for the email marketing video cause you want to blog and newsletter about your art- I'd say that the substack video might be better for you... (yeah, email marketing can be other things, not just substack, but it is not as affective for artists) Also, to make it as an artist,. it's really hard to create that personal connection- without showing your face. Not impossible, just incredibly harder. As for IG reels- yes, you can create them on your laptop, from place it, from Canva, but I always recommend uploading them from the phone, and I also recommend using the phone for the ones that work... Noted everything though, in my list , thanks for the input and taking the time to comment :)
@Kythe422 күн бұрын
@@MeyTribe I have seen the substack video, and I was under the impression that substack really didn't want you to use the platform primarily for marketing, so I feel like I'd be breaking the TOS if I kept posting links for products I'm selling my art on? But other than that, I remember it just being more general about how to use the platform. I'm just struggling to figure out how to blog and newsletter about my art and the products I sell my art on as far as the content goes more than what platform to use. If this isn't something you want to specifically make a video about, then I understand. Please let me know if you know of anyone else that has a video on this subject as I've struggled to find anything that felt relevant for digital artists. As for doing reels on the phone. It's simply not going to happen in my case. I do not do any creative work on mobile devices because I find it far too difficult, clunky and awkward. I work much more efficiently on an actual computer. However, the reason I mentioned not wanting to have to film anything with my phone is because my work is all digital on my laptop. I don't have anything to film even if I wanted to. I already do have some ideas for short-form video content that I can do entirely on my computer, but it's always nice to hear ideas from other people.
