My biggest problem with it is the emblem I know shouldn’t be a big deal but I really wish they just went extra on it like an actual insert in the cloth not just the printed sticker…but love your work as always even with all the negative you shine a bright light on all the positives like a shining beacon of child like wonder and nostalgia…your the reason I started collecting mezco I appreciate you my guy thanks for all you do

I've never been a fan of Superman but this figure looks pretty slick. I love the bright colors, and that they didn't shy away from a fully cloth costume, as opposed to the weird basketball / carbon fiber texture that is often applied to modern Superman designs. Still not sure that I can justify the price tag to myself for a character that I dont really care for, but the execution is still pretty tempting.

Fan of Superman, and I’ve been looking for a Superman figure that had a smiling expression, and this one might be the one for me to get… if only it was just a tad cheaper. Its pretty darn expensive, I feel like if you cut off a lot of accessories and just kept the hands, lasers, and heads, this would be a lot cheaper. Still, really tempted to get this! And your review and the pics at the end REALLY help!

I've never been a fan of soft goods when it comes to characters that wear skin tight suits, but the heads and accessories on this Supes look SO GOODI wish mezco could sell the accessories by themselves lol

Dammit D, I wasn't in for this Supes until now hahaha. Man the way you break everything down in your videos is ALWAYS a delight. And the comic refs hit hard homie. I wonder how everything will hold up and I'm thinking about breaking for this figure. I love my Mafex but a smiling Superman is always wanted. Plus I love the John Byrne feel of him.

What bothers me is that chest symbol. I feel it’s too small and there should be NO black there. Just red and yellow. Makes it look like they just stuck a sticker on his chest.

I just ordered this the other day and I wish I had watched reviews of the toy beforehand, because this discrepancy between the MeZco previews pictures and the actual production release with the black lines was immediately noticeable and glaring. 😕

Man I love putting these mezco figures next to Mcfarlane Mega figs like Lobo and Bane because it kinda makes them look accurate to the comics. Bane is all big and can pick up and bend the bat, lobo looks like a 7 footer next to superman and Mongul will for sure looks like a 8 footer next to this Superman. Can not wait to have this guy in hand.

I can’t wait I‘ve waited so long time to get my hands on what thought would be a definitive Super Man. I’m building a Mezco justice league , I’ve already got Sovereign Knight Batman, Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, John Stewart Green Lantern, I did order Green Arrow from China but some one stole it on delivery, and I missed out on the Doctor Fate so unless they do a re-issue I’m out , now I just need for them to do a Martian Manhunter, Hawk-girl, I think they should have mad him a little taller I really like your first Mezco Super man

Those head sculpts are a good interpretation of the character. A good middle ground of most Superman looks. I wonder if those heads would look good on a McFarlane figure?

This is the first mezco I have ever pre-ordered/ordered. The first (and second) MAFEX I ever ordered were the Hush Superman and Batman. This Superman brings some much *needed* head sculpts that other Supes figures have absolutely missed. I mean, really, how hard is it to get a smiling Superman head. That's like Superman's thing! That's what sets him apart from everyone! Cap...another boyscout but his face is partially covered. Spider-Man, full mask. Batman, half mask and more brooding. You take the top 5-10 all-time recognizable superheroes, and Superman will be the one with a face in full view and with a smile. To me, that is significant to him as a character. However...I am super disappointed in the height. I was hoping to have him somewhere between Cap and Thor. I don't think it'll look bad but I realized "My" superman would be in the image of Chris Samnee art and be a slightly bulkier chest and shoulders like the new Mezco, but a waist and leg slenderness of the Reeves Mezco. I'm not tempted to mix and match those two but that could be my ideal. Either way, I will be happy to get this Mezco figure.

I really like what I've seen of this figure save the chest emblem. I preferred the version they showed on the prototype. That one was larger and looked more “real world.” The black outlined one is too small looks like a cheap sticker. It makes it look like a Mego os something. Perhaps I feel better once I have the figure in hand.

There's something about Mezco figures that makes it look not proportioned... not sure if the torso is too short or the head is too big, or the neck is too long. I never see this on Mafex or Figuarts.

First, great video review. Second, why does it not bother you that the shoulder muscles appear dislocated in any pose other than the "A" stance? Imo, they make his arms look like they were made for the Gumby claymation show from the 70's. Did Mezco's first Superman have the same problem?

Like others I was sus after seeing initial inhand pics of the fig but after this review its acceptable. Not the end all be all but def better then what i was seeing initially. Real judge will be having it in hand. I'm liking the light up function. Not digging the fact they changed the emblem from the promo pics. Fig is cool for now unless someone like muff comes out with a full blown Superman vs. Clark Kent. Thanks for vid.

Ok D first of all awesome review. I am a big fan of your reviews and pics at the end.The figure itself is great. I really like all the accessories that he comes with. They only missed out on a head that shows his ice breath. I guess there is only two things that bother me about him. One I wish he was just a little bit taller. And the second is his chest embolum. I know it's nick picking but I it's not the same as the original images. Other than that he's great 👍.

Thank you for the review! This Superman will be fine for many, but I think Mezco dropped the ball again on another iconic character. He looks like a beefed up Jon Hamm in the Christopher Reeve Superman costume. Although I did enjoy your posing and photos of him. So as a Superman fan and knowing that we've never really had any good comic based Supermen until recently, I will be getting him as well. He may not be exactly what I expected and wanted, but there's more going on to favor than not. Until then, the wait for one of these companies to give us a good John Byrne Superman continues.

It’s a good figure, but I still think the definitive 1/12 Superman is the Mafex Hush one. It’s also cheaper if you can still find it at retail. This could be an alternative for the people that missed out on the Mafex. 🤷‍♂️
