I think demonstrating the articulation is still important enough to include in the video even if it's a reused Mezco body. I really wanted to see how the range and restrictions of the costume and newly sculpted parts are like.

Mines on the way! Very essential for a DC Mezco collection and I can’t wait to get Constantine with his plethora of accessories and hopefully a full blown Justice League Dark to display with this beauty.

I am not sure what is going on with your light up feature but mine is plenty bright. I totally understand what everyone is saying about wanting to see the articulation but as a reviewer myself, it is my least favorite thing to do. Especially with Mezcos as I don’t want to stretch or damage the fabric. Great review Brad! I feel the need to pick up a Mattel Fate now but which one?

I watched a review before I got mine and thought I would hate the armor around his shoulders, but now that I have it and played around with it, I really like it. It adds some bulk to his upper torso that it probably needs to balance the proportions.

Mine finally showed up the other day, I am so happy I got it. I feel like Doctor Fate has never really had a standout figure till now, it's looks amazing displayed. Side note, loved the video! This was the first one of yours I've seen and I'm now a subscriber!

@@bootganger3005 I guess it depends on the figure but i personally like mezco better cause i like the cloth goods stuff, but I dont pose them around a lot, I pretty much set them up for display and leave them. If you like to mess with them a bunch mafex may be better cause they generally have better articulation and are less scary to mess with since they dont have cloth

I felt conflicted about this. On one hand Ive never been a massive fan of 6 inch, I think the sewing seams are gigantic and noticeable, and the price is hard to justify. On the other hand there doesnt seem to be another good Doctor Fate coming out soon, and now that its sold out I actually want it lol. There is nothing like telling someone they cant have something to make them want it.

I noticed that slight dig at McFarlane, my biggest problem with his DC line is the heavy Batman focus... I love Batman as much as the next guy, but the DC universe is so much more than Batman. DCUC got it right and if they had modern action figure engineering behind them they would be the best DC line out there, IMO. Anyways, regarding Dr. Fate, I really grew to love this character during the DC animated shows of Superman and JL, and then Young Justice. I ran to the computer to preorder him and I love the figure! One thing I will point out is that the ornamentation on the collar going back across the shoulders is quite fragile... I was trying to push them down a bit and one of them snapped out of its housing in the neck area. It's not broken, but it won't stay in with just friction so I may need to glue it back if I want to have it in there. Although I'm contemplating taking the other one off for a more classic look... Great review as always!

Now I'm kinda split on having skipped him. Great figure is a great figure but I don't have a huge fandom for the character and could do without the light up effect premium charge. Also not crazy about the box design. Love the art on the front but I miss the slip cover and window/door.

I've only started collecting Mezco DC figures from last year, and this one is too cool to pass on. I've been waiting for a couple others to drop, like the '89 Batman one, but I can wait. Though, I didn't get the usual extras with my figure. It was just the figure by itself, so that was odd.
