It was confirmed it's not a single jointed elbow. It's a double jointed elbow just you gotta bend it carefully to get the range. It's on a slightly modified Gomez buck.

Great review, thank you very much for the shout-out! I can confirm what other commenters said RE: the body being a modified Gomez buck, including double elbows. It's just near-impossible to get any double elbow range when he's in the stock suit. In the thinner Bends suit, I've found him to be far less hindered in that way. Some notes for anyone interested in doing a similar suit swap: - The big armor piece will need to be cut at its thinnest point, under Freeze's armpits. Once this is done, you should be able to wiggle-jiggle the armor upward and off the body without much difficulty - Gauntlets & boots can be removed with the good ol' heat, twist, and pull method -- just be aware the wrist joints are connected to the body and will not come off with the gauntlets - Replacement suit will need to have some material cut away on the chest and back in order for the armor to plug back into the pegs/ports on the buck - Removing the armor will have no adverse impact on LED features as all electronic components are integrated into the armor itself

Great review and I thoroughly enjoyed it and agree with the exception of the elbow articulation. I was extremely doubtful as well but once convinced by a fellow collector I was pleased to find double jointed w/ restricted movement

Looks pretty great. And yea, the old DC superheros one is still a nice rendition of the character too.
