I bought my 2607H about a year ago and after 175 hours I still can't stop smiling every time I use it. The 2600H series is the perfect tractor for someone who wants the old school heavy weight reliable tractor from the past with just enough modern features to make it comfortable. The 911X loader is extremely strong and capable and when you equip it with third function hydraulics and a grapple bucket you can pile some serious brush quickly. I spent a lot of my childhood running grandpas little 135 Massey Ferguson and I still do so when the time came for me to buy my own it wasn't a hard choice to make. Thank you Massey Ferguson for playing a big part in some of my best memories from my younger years and for the memories that have yet to come in my older years!

I bought my 1st M-F used a 1959 M-F 50 gasoline I've had it for 25 years & still use it year round & I bought a M-F 1526 brand new in 2018 with a FEL & 4wd & even though they're 59 years apart they have 2 things in common they're Massey-Ferguson & reliable & I was the only one in our family to own tractors ever, Until this year my brother just bought a brand new 2021 M-F GC 1723 EB & some people ask me why I bought a M-F I just tell them simply do you not know what M-F means ? Mighty-Fine.

Kubota tractor are pretty high quality, but we have very steep land here in WV and with the Massey Ferguson I have the wheels set out very wide, something you can not do on a Kubota.

I'm making this comment not to bash your product, but to try and give you something to look at for the 2600H series. First I really like the 2600H series. It more than any other tractor reminds me of older tractors that I grew up on. (mainly Fords) I tractor shopped before committing for about a year and a half. The majority of that time I was almost certain I was going to go with a 2607H. The reason I didn't is its value is very poor compared to its competitors. Compared to machines like the JD 5E and Kubota M60 series the 2600H is a much more basic machine. I went to 3 different MF dealers and talked to several on the phone that weren't local to me and the best price I could get for a financed 2607H/MFWD/911X machine was $36,575. For $36,200 I got a new 2018 5075E. This is a MFWD/12x12 powershuttle/520M FEL machine. I was priced a straight up $36,000 for a Kubota M7060/MFWD/FEL/12x12 powershuttle machine. Both the Deere and Kubota have tilt steering, 540/540E PTO's, 12x12 powershuttle tranny's with wet clutches instead of dry clutches like the 2600H. Both have larger and flatter operator stations with large cup holders, larger seats, quieter motors, 3PH and FEL's with better specs. The 5075E and 2607H is rated at about the same weight. Both Deere and Kubota have a tighter turning radius's. Here's what I liked better on the 2600H than the Deere or Kubota: -Factory dual rear remotes. -Provisions for both CAT I&II implements. -The 2600H is a very handsome tractor and IMO easily the best looking machine in its class. (and yes when buy a new tractor looks are important) -Though not the quietest I love how the 2600H's 3 cylinder sounds better than most any other new tractor in it's class. It's a very old school sounding 3 cylinder and I dig it. I really can't even give it much of an advantage in the emissions department especially seeing as how its lack of emissions isn't saving $ on the cost of the machine. My 5075E regens about once ever 100 hours and I'm not always at WOT either and other than a light on the dash coming on for about 15-20 minutes you can't tell otherwise. Plus I believe the DOC machines made by TAFE want you to let them come up to temps before using them where the DPF machines from Deere and Kubota don't have this requirement to idle the machine for several minutes before use. I'm not an emissions fan, but DOC is an emissions tool that's basically constantly regenning and to work it needs heat behind it hence why you need to let the tractor idle up to temps before using it. I'm fine with the 2600H as it is if its price reflected it, but it doesn't. They should be priced $5K-$6K less than they are when trying to compete with tractors with more gears, powershuttle transmissions, wet clutches, 540E PTO's, (which is great for long days of PTO work. You can do some pretty heft duty work in 540E and you save noticeable fuel and it's much quieter) large/flatter/more comfortable operator platforms with amenities like cup holders, tilt steering, fender mounted throttles, (fender mounted throttles are awesome and make using the foot throttle for anything other than loader work a thing of the past) and other things. Again I very much am fine with an old school, good looking, strong, well built, value minded, no-frills machine, but it's price needs to reflect its value compared to the competition. If a 2607H/MFWD/FEL tractor was $29K-$31K machine while being financed then I would of bought one instead on my 5075E. Which BTW has been an excellent machine for me so far for me. I think the 4700 series is a much better value than the 2600H series. Hell I think the 4700 series is a better value than most any other tractor for what I've had people claim that they payed for them. One guy told me he got his 4707/MFWD/FEL/cabbed/12x12 powershuttle machine for less than $40K. If true that's a hugely good value. For a tractor the size of a 4700 series with its features and specs that's a very good price even for an open station machine IMO.

@@jessiebruno9313 If your dealer is trying to sell you a 5075E open station/MFWD/FEL machine for $10K more than your MF dealer is selling a MFWD/FEL 2607H for then I would tell the Deere dealer to pound sand. For that kind of $ you could step up to a 4700 series which is a larger/heavier/more powerful/more capable machine with all the nicests the 5E has, and maybe even one with a cab. My local Deere dealer seems to be better than most. People always claim Deere to be overpriced, but around here they seem to sell for about what their competitors sell their comparable machines for. Hell my Deere dealer would of sold me a brand new, current year model, cabbed 5075E/MFWD/FEL machine which comes standard with the powershuttle for less than $45K when I bought my tractor in April of 2018. My 3 most local Massey dealers are so-so at best. One is pretty good, and my dad is big on them, but they still couldn't get me a price I was willing to pay. Yeah Massey used to have that 0% for 84 months financing which was nice. With Deere I got 0% for 60 months. One thing I do like better about Deeres pricing is their cash price and finance price are pretty much the same. MF teases you with that cash price which looks great, but most don't have $30+K to drop on a new tractor at one time. Then when you tell them you're going to finance it they're like "sure, for an extra $5K or so." That's one thing I don't like about how Massey sells tractors as they dealers would list them at the cash price, but when you'd go to talk to the dealers about buying it they'd hit you with the finance price.

I never said that MF suck and you'd get a POS if you buy one. I'm saying the value of the 2600H when compared to its more popular, larger dealer network competition from Deere and Kubota is poor. Here in the southeastern United States they all sell for about the same $. For the same $ you get a 12x12 powershuttle, wet clutch, 540E PTO, bigger seat, roomer operator platform, bigger FEL/3PH specs, fender mounted hand throttle, a big cup holder, tilt steering, and maybe other things that slip my mind. These are things missing in the 2600H that both JD 5E and Kubota M60 have. Also the 2600H has a weight advantage over the Kubota, but not the Deere. The 5075E open station MFWD tractor is a 59xx lb machine unloaded the same as the 2607H. Advantages the MF has over the Deere and Kubota are standard 2 rear remotes and the CAT I/CAT II universal 3PH mounts. I can't think of much else. Plus the 2600H is made by TAFE which has a very iffy reputation. Look I like the 2600H I just saying MF need to reevaluate its price as it competitors are priced about the same and are much better equipped machines.

Indeed a lovely beautiful Tractor... But one thing which ruined the beauty of this tractoro are half cut mudguard... The mudguard must cover half of the tyres in the Same circular way... 2nd thing is the AC cabin... And last one is about Hight PTO hp... and what is the current PTO hp because PTO power is the unique features of a tractoro which make it complete machine....

I’m looking to buy a tractor, the 2600H specifically. I have 76 acres, 35 to 40 are pastured and the rest is wooded trails. Is this the right tractor for me? We have horses and goats. I’ll be moving and spreading manure, taking down pastures, brush hogging trails, dragging trees and grading a pretty long driveway. Are there any attachments or features you would say are a must have? I’ve been looking at a lane shark🤷🏻‍♂️ I was born and raised on the beach... This stuff is not new to me, however it has been about 20 yrs. I’d like to get some more live stock so making hay is not out of the question, but right now I can buy it cheaper. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
@justkeepingitreal7768

With 76 acres and the possibility of bailing hay I would say you should look into the 4700 series. The 4708 or 4709 would make quick work of most of those tasks you mentioned and you would benefit from the increased hydraulic flow for running a lane shark. With that said, a 2607H will do all of those things but the 4700 will be more comfortable on you I believe. If your trails in the woods are tight you might need to consider that. The 2600H series is a great tractor for in the woods due to its smaller chassis size. I have skidded logs, pulled a 12' batwing mower, moved dirt piles and graded gravel driveways with mine and it never breaks a sweat. I am looking for a small 2 yard dirt pan now and I have no doubt I could probably pull a 4 yard if I wanted but I don't like working my equipment even close to its peak, that's why I suggest the 4700 series with 76 acres.

I'd say for a long driveway a 7 or 8 foot box blade is a must. Also a quick attach grapple is a must for any log moving, I have one and use it almost every day.
