in case anyone is curious, yes, in MF DOOM's sampling, its a revamp done by Madlib, because this version (the original) had the cat meowing. If it didn't have that, this would've been ripped completely in the sample.

Jazzy Goddess No it's the original sample. I think he used a crossfader on a mixing board, but the way I think he did it is actually much more easily shown than explained. I've used this technique several times on my own tracks.
