One of the Best if not the Best College Football traditions!

I was in the Chiefs for that historic 1981 King of the Road year. It was fun but a lot of work. We went to Ohio State, LSU and UF, but I think Bobby had to play Nebraska, Miami, Notre Dame and Pitt too. It was the toughest schedule in college football.

Toughest 5 game away from hone stadium ever. In 6 consecutive weeks, won @Notre Dame, @Ohio State, @LSU, lost @Nebraska and @Pitt (the two losses paybacks for fsu wins in 1980).

How was going to Ohio? OSU is where FSU takes all its marching tradition. Like visiting grandpa.

We stayed the night before in some Orville High School parent's homes and we played at their high school game. Those people were fine. The OSU fans the next day were too pushy and thought they were better than anyone else. One of them busted through our line, broke my music holder so I ended up not even playing the half time music. Also, we had to sit on the actual field and could see nothing of the game. I still had to perform the halftime show. I have rooted against them ever since.

I worked that game!!!! My first ever (took my twin sisters place since I was in town and she had to work elsewhere) and it was magical. I was a few tunnels to your right for a medic call at that time. Got video myself once the call was over of Renegade which was my favorite part, lol.

Very different situations. One uses a local tribe as a symbol for strength and pride and directly works with them on how their symbol is used. The other was literally just a broad derogatory term for all Native Americans about their “red skin”. Doesn’t work as a mascot at all

One of America’s GREATEST pregame traditions. Makes the lefties over on mainstream media MAD which is even better.

Conservatives watch a video of a marching band and their minds jump to politics and “lefties”. What a Strange, culty bunch you all are. Ps, me, a lefty, enjoy this and many other pregame shows because it’s music. Conservatives don’t own marching band music, dunce.
