This video has the best illustration on the importance on how to ensure approximating the input levels between the signal to noise antennas. So many MFJ-1026 owners over the years didn't know about this fact and ended up saying things like this was a piece of junk, and etc. Most of them do not know the tuning process but starting by wildly spinning their knobs in search for a null. Little that they know that would not have worked. 😂😂😂😂

That was a good demo, I've wondered about these things, first time I've seen one in action so thank you !!

Nice demonstration. I hae one of those devices and it works really nicely, especially in my urban environment. Mine has been modified to go down to lower frequencies so it works really well on longwave aswell. I have been using a PA0RDT mini whip active antenna as the noise antenna. Great results !

This is interesting and I makes me wonder if you added a couple commode chokes one at the radio and on by the antenna. That might reduce the noise more.

I have one too and its working, but the other way is to use a loop antenna

I wish I only had your problem with noise on top band 😁 I live in a block of flats with some nasty RF pollution attacking from different directions at the same time, I use the wimo null steerer to null out the most offending noise .

Do you need a second antenna to use this device? If so, how serious does the second antenna need to be?

hardly to hear any difference. not worth any single penny

And I have watched many video's about it, because that things are expensive, but for me it is worth every penny, because else I can't listen hf, when all neighbours are awake with all their tv's and power supplies :), really
