Beautiful card, and a very great Mom. I've gotten better with the fuse tool (love it), and I've found one way to get a more glitter-proof seam is to run a second fuse seam about 1/16th of an inch parallel to the first seam. The tiny holes will be offset from each other, creating a better seal. The down side is that the double seam isn't as neat looking, but using the fuse ruler allows you to do a good job of it.

SUPER COOL card!!! I'm so sure your daughter really LOVED it. I went right away over to MFT to buy the Cell Phone Die Set, but it is out of stock. i found that when sealing edges the tim holtz ruler with the metal edge works awesome... i don't even take out the fuse ruler anymore... super cute card though! now i'm itching to take my fuse tool back out but i'm running out of sequins!

This is such a cute idea! My daughter is 16 (youngest child) - trust me when the last one graduates THEN you will fell old ;-). You could try doing a 2nd/3rd seal lines(s) to keep the glitter in or edge the pocket with satin ribbon or even washi tape ...

I need hints on how to get the Fuse tool to fuse more smoothly. I have used transparencies and it's not smooth at all. Do I need to use more of the pocket type clear material? Thanks in advance!

+rumpzafamily not sure what you mean by smooth - the edges won't be perfectly smooth as the tool creates little perforations in order to seal it all together - if you mean you're using actual transparencies there's a chance they're not very heat resistant and you're melting them.

+Prairie Paper & Ink (AmyR) It melts unevenly and the plastic clumps up some... I don't see a nice clean perforation line like you have on yours. I have an extra Avery Elle stamp pocket. I will try that. Thanks for the video!

Hi Amy I posted a message when you first showed the fuse tool. You had not used it yet. I told you to be careful as the stand was not that brilliant in my opinion. You probably won't have remembered my post as you get so many messages. I am messaging again as I noticed your fuse tool has some sort of collar on the bottom (where the handle ends and the fuse tool heating part begins) hope you can make out what I'm meaning lol. If you do could you tell me if it is an added extra ? as mine doesn't have that, but it would certainly help hold the tool onto the stand. I would love to purchase one if it is sold separate?
