Bought the base variant of Comet, driven about 4000km, it’s a very good car for daily usage in city like going to office, going for dinner, minimal highway usages like 70-100km, I also have other car which is grand i10 automatic

I have done 9012 kms in 3.5 months. Never felt the requirement of fast charging. Also have done a Gurgaon - Ajmer - Gurgaon trip using it

Good to see Cars24 reviewing the electric car. Can you please tell me as to whether the battery in idle mode would lose its juice. I intend to buy this car for use during my stay at native place. Also whether the Indian rainy conditions would be handled by mg comet? How securely is the battery protected from water logged roads etc.

Tata should this type of compact car like tata nano or something in electric with fast charge. Mg comet comes without fast charging option thats huge cons.

I have a few questions plz plz reply so that it will help me to decide. 1. How many chargers are provided? As local dealer said home charger will take 7 hrs to full charge and the portable charger kit will be provided that will take 12 plus hrs to charge. So m confused if 2 separate chargers 2. What is the real time mileage it gives with full charge. 3. exite version s having a physical key. Does the car have a black rectangular request sensor on door which u just push to lock unlock? 4. What is comfort and ur experience

This car is good for office going people and for retired people for zooming around Also this can be a second car of a family but it is not good if a family is having only this car as a family car

Pros: 4 wheels. Cons: high cost. Costly battery replacement after 8 years. Small boot. Low ground clearance with motor at the bottom. Slow, very slow charging. Long doors compromising ingress and egress. Back seat ingress and egress difficult. Heavy car due to battery with likely suspension problems on Indian potholed roads. Spare tyre? Verdict: Cut price to 4 lakhs on road and be happy. A fool and his money are soon parted.

Yes, does not make sense for 17KW battery a 1 hr of charge will give you 18% charge enough to get you home in city and fast charging is not sustainable for battery life
