The Jeep Meridian produced for India is not safe to drive and has not been crash tested by Global NCAP for this very reason. This is because of the Fiat sourced 2 litre engine that is unsafe for right hand drive.

The Compass has scored a perfect five-star rating on the NCAP test. The Meridian, which shares the same chassis and platform as the Compass is likely to get similar ratings.

Never driven both the cars but had a ride as a passenger. What I experienced in both the SUVs is that the Gloster has a more comfy and cushiony drive whereas Jeep Meridian is a bit stiff but its okay. Interior feels more airy and pleasing in Gloster as compared to Meridian. Meridian is just as same as Compass its just that it has been elongated from the rear. Don't get me wrong if you are a Jeep fan but my heart goes on MG Gloster. ❤

Few things which i noticed recently when i took test drives of these vehicles: Meridian has way way less power Gloster has way more refined engine Tyre quality of gloster is damn good no trye noise Seats of gloster are v v comfortable View of bonet in way way better in gloster Braking is damn good in gloster Driver seating comfort is 3rd class in meridian especially for left knee 3 person seating in meridian second row is bad for the size The orvm view is awesome in gloster which really helps to move in traffic Gloster inside outside looks value for money and meridian looks like asking u way too much While doing quick over taking meridian haanf jati hai and gloster does it with ease Gloster is way way better in rainy roads

Service cost ka bahut difference hai. Jeep wale to compass ki service ka bill 30-35 thousand ka bna dete hain. Gloster ki service 8 thousand me ho jaati hai.

I own a Meridian 4*4 9AT, there are differences in features between the manual and automatic drive trains of Jeep. Well the comparison you made is fine, but to compare apples to apples, please use automatic drive trains for both vehicles. Some errors in the video - 1) It is 9 speed Auto (and not 8 speed), 2) The gloster owner is right, auto drive train of Jeep doesn't go beyond 2K RPM, 3) Cabin noise in auto drive is low given the low RPM gear change, 4) Auto transmission also has turbo engine setup and therefore, would be similar in driving experience.

Did the Jeep owner really say that American brands are trustworthy? 🤣🤣🤣. Good joke. Seems like he is more smitten with the American brands (which is not surprising in India) than the reliability quotient. So let's enlighten him a bit that American brands are not trustworthy and reliable at all. They are just overhyped in India which is the reason for their popularity in the country. Ask any Ford or Chevrolet owner about their long-term experience with the car. And the majority of the owners regret their decision to buy an American brand. Jeep is the most untrustworthy among all of the American brands. Heck! even Americans too don't trust their homegrown Jeep brand. And one more thing, Gloster's owner was way more humble and modest than Meridian's owner which speaks of his maturity like the car he owns. Even when he was driving Meridian, he appreciated all the pros of Meridian without comparing it with Gloster and didn't really criticize much regardless of so many flaws in the car. The Meridian owner, on the other hand, kept comparing Gloster with his car even when Gloster is a much more premium car than Meridian. Save for the price, the comparison between Gloster and Meridian is like comparing apples to oranges. Meridian ko tto mai 0 bhi na duun kyunki woh NEGATIVE k laayak hai. Gloster is full 20/10. Aur Gloster owner ki saadagi aur modesty ka tto mai fan ho gya. Glsoter is all day, everyday for me. Jeep owners can continue to live in their own bubble🤣.

India m toh next level unka unreliability hai jahaan service and spare parts ka price astronomical high hai. Nahi pataa hai toh GOOGLE kar lo comment karne se pehley.
