I own a hector 2023 cvt.. Its super fun to driving its engaging and yes it can give you good fuel economy here is the trick… Out on highway switch it to manual and just above 85kmph you can engage 8th step(gear) the engine will rev around 1.4k rpm which is super silent you hear nothing.. after that just engage Cruise control.. I have screenshots of 14.1 kmpl with that trick.. Enjoy.. 🎉

Review full bogus... I took MG hector Savvy pro CMT from Nagpur, and drove it to Bangalore on day 1, 1200+ km covered like a charm. These guys are cribbing on lack of power, but trust me there's nothing like it, vehicle is sufficiently powered and the vehicle overtook trucks and every other car without even breaking a sweat. No other car in this segment can beat the comfort. 1200+ Kms, in 16 hours, and no fatigue at all.. The video subject says not fun to drive, which I totally disagree, these so called car experts can atleast leave the judgement to people experiencing it instead. Thumbs down to this review.

Not really. Chinese cars really don't give that comfort like German cars. I've driven many Chinese cars like Hong-qi, BYD and MG and there is no comparison of these cars with a Mercedez or BMW. The German cars are so smooth, it makes very comfortable for any new car guy to drive it. While not the same with Chinese cars. Chinese cars feels heavy when you drive it in the beginning but then gets better when you adjust with it. You don't have to adjust with a German car. Only country which can come close to making German cars is Japanese and American cars

11:38 The Horn in MG Hector is dual sound. If you press it once it has the lower tone (alto alike), but if you keep it pressed it changes to a louder tone. Very good feature considering if you are honking for a pedestrian it does not startle of scare him/her as it happens with other cars like Creta.

You cannot judge a car by driving for a week, it's been 3 months I'm driving this MG not even a single day gave me single digit AVG, n after updating the software screen became much smoother, driving experience is Amazing, so until you own it, n use it for a month or more, you cannot come to conclusion. MG is one of the best in this price segment

Diesel Hector is really great for the highway. Only 6 months of owning the car, and have clocked nearly 15k on the Odo. Seats are super supportive and comfy. Diesel Hector also gives a great mileage when cruising at a constant speed, and the necessary oomph at any gear to make an overtake. However, the high torque makes it a bit cumbersome in traffic. The car wants to pull the moment the clutch is lifted. I feel that an automatic Hector is something MG should really make. It will really bring some spice to the market given the size and price of the car.

I have a question. When you floored the pedal, the RPM climbed to 5.1K rpm n stood there till you reached 100 or so. A friend of mine has MG Astor Sharp CVT. I tried the same on it, but instead of staying at 5K rpm like a CVT, it did a gear shift like thing and rpm went to 4.5K or so at around 35kpmh, then again the same at 55ish. I could physical feel when this shift happens. The rpm drops like a normal AT/DCT and then climbs back, then does the same and whenever this happens, you can actually see the shift to 2-3-4 (if you put it on manual mode). What kinda tech cvt is used in Astor???
