Thank you for the video. I was looking for the location of the oil filter on my wife's MG ZS & immediately your video showed the location. Do you have a video on replacing the air filter for the engine & one for the cabin air filter?

Hi No sorry I don't have for the air filter or cabin filter but is easy ,cabin filter is passenger side (UK ) right corner black cover with a couple of clips I think

The manufacturer oil filter put up a fight. Screwdriver and hammer method barely got it

If I understand correctly you mean was difficult to remove it ?..... probably because the previous service they didn't put any oil on the rubber,or the tightening with a wrench to much

@@georgetech380 yeah I couldn't get it off even with a filter wrench. I had to hammer a screwdriver through it for leverage

Do you have any idea about that the engine is designed by MG or not ? I`m not sure but I have heard that it`s a modified Opel/Vauxhall engine.

Hi the 1.5 is a Chinese make very robust so reviews say the 1000 cc is the vauxhall one like you said made by vauxhall but don't know much more than it's vauxhall Made. I have the 1.5 but only done 1300' miles so far but they say it's a good engine. I would recommend every time you start the car turn the stop and start system off as parts do wear out faster I turn mine off all the time. I've had two problems the auto headlights not coming of was the sensor and also would not start an engine code they reflashed the ECU and been ok since

Engine seems very robust and also is vvti ,this one has 16000km and no issues ,for long long term time will show ,I don't know we are not MG garage ,but car looks very good and the engine

Thanks you watching it ,I did put oil ,also I said it on the video ,, I have everything prepared before the video because I can't do it when holding my phone and recoding at the same time

@@georgetech380 You said always put oil on rubber seal, nothing about filling it,sir, and it was empty, you could hear it was hollow. Anyway, I will fill mine, my mainconcern was where the filter was located. My car is under warranty, and I want to check if Dealer is in fact changing the oil. Cheers

@@kerrybuckley1543 Sorry now I understood what you mean oil inside the filter ..... that's happen only in some big vehicle with big engines ,trucks lorries ....never on the normal cars ...special you can't do that when the engine has the oil filter horizontal .....until you screw it back all the oil will be on the floor ....so no that's completely unnecessary and I don't have to

Oil filter Bosch 501750017 is on the video and oil 5w-30 .....we are not MG dealer

It might be from a owner that was leaving near the sea or up in Scotland or from the salt on the road
