these cars were never made with a 1500cc engine. if it is a 1500cc engine it's from a later model MG (not that it makes all that much difference), like a MG TF or MGA. the factory never offered or sold tthe TD with wire wheels, BTW. only AFTER they stopped the manufacture of the TD in 1953 did MG offer a wire wheel retro fit kit for the TD. anyway, nice car. and those rear-view side mirrors? ...they cost about $250 each.

Thanks for your information! But during the restoration this car was fitted with a 1450 cc X-pack engine! Yes you are right it came with standard steel wheels! They are great cars! 👍

Thi is a 1952 MG-TD. It came with a 1250cc engine. The man needs to study up a bit on British cars.
