So here's a review for the Master Grade 2.0 Zaku, from the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam. I actually love plastic model kits, and I would like to build more plamo going forward. I'd definitely want to build Char Aznable's Zaku, but I'll do that in the future. I'll also do another kit from another mecha anime series in the future...COUGHit'sevangelion

I find pre-depression Jobby is a bit easier to listen to, I know it's for humor sake but I still get worried hearing it. That being said, that is one amazing paint job, wish you had documented the process because I wouldn't even know where to begin making such an amazing weathered deco.

Shiro Neko 3 that's what I thought it was when I first seen it. Like it was a very old, yet reliable Zaku. (Because really if your Zaku is rusty it means it survived as other Zakus were eradicated as cannon fodder.)

This is still one of my favorite reviews on this channel. I’ve built several Gundam kits including the custom painted MG GM Ver 2.0 on my profile pic. That was an overall fun experience, despite the pain in my fingers from the tiny ABS plastic parts. I didn’t bother painting the inner frame on it though as I’m never going to take the armor off of it. Edit: there are a few places where the paint chipped off, so I went over those places with a pencil to give it a lightly weathered look

i don't know what to say.... except.... WOW!!! Man! you are so talented! I love the details, adding those rusts, scratches, damages and such. I have 0 idea about gunpla and such when I received 2 first-grade gundam model kits during christmas a few years back. I had fun assembling it, but was slightly disappointed that it severely lacks details compared to the picture shown in the box. Turns out, there are actually different grades for gundam model kits, and even more, there are actually paints and such, and customizing it was what it needs to really shine. My eyes were wide open skimming through pictures of customized gundam, and felt bad looking at my uncustomized, first grade gundams. I wish I had a friend who's really into it (so he can guide me and avoid overspending from tools and wasting the paints), tools, an easily available specialty store (ordering online is something I have never done) and the money to support such a hobby. It looks really interesting.. maybe a few years in the future I might actually start doing it once I'm earning enough money and have nothing better to do. LOOKING FORWARD TO NGE! I LOVE EVA'S DESIGNS (especially eva 01)

JobbytheHong I definitely will! But I have a question about the hand modifications you did for your zaku. The exia also has a pair of posable hands so is it possible to do make them individual fingers on the 1/144 figure? I don't like how the 3 finger split would look but I'm also afraid the small scale would make it really hard to do.
@JobbytheHong
@JobbytheHong 9 жыл бұрын
***** The smaller scale will definitely make it harder to do the modification. But if the hand of the RG Exia is anything like the MG Zaku's, then you should be able to perform the mod regardless of difficulty. I'm gonna need pictures of the Exia's hand to be sure. You think you could send some to me on Google+?

Hey Jobby! You make toy reviews so funny and original! As a newcomer to gunpla, how did you paint the zaku? I heard primer was good for painting, did you use one?. +Gabriel Dumont The funny thing about my Zaku is, I TECHNICALLY didn't paint it. I just dry brushed over bare plastic and top coated it. But if you WERE gonna paint your gunpla, I would recommend priming it. Here's a tutorial for weathering that really helped me! kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqnOh2pmf9uUodk And all the related videos will keep you busy. Hope this helps!

I used to build the small ones as a kid, loved making them but once they were done I just kinda... Forgot about them? Or playted too rough with them, so most of them are kinda missing their limbs... I want to get back into it after seeing some super cool custom ones and seeing the orignal version at my Barnes and Noble. Gundam Wing was the only one i watched a whole lot of (though I dont remember much, so i might go rewatch it) but there's just something about the Gundam designs (Most, at least) that are just sooooo cool to me, I love them so much! This paintjob was also amazing. I absolutely loved the detailing you did on his shoulder shield, looked great!
