I hate how turning off shadows gives such a big advantage. The game is beautiful with the shadows on and makes a much more immersive experience with realistic visuals. But turning them off allows you to see every guy hiding in a bush or shadow of a building, not to mention it helps with performance.

I have shadows off because my CPU cant handle this game very well... sad though because this game looks great maxed!

To echo the other response if I have shadows on, certain forested and urban maps become slideshows for me. Let alone when command arty comes in
