Manila - After the recently conducted clearing operation in Intramuros (Walled City) the Plaza de Santo Tomas is now cleared from illegal vendors that sprung up around the area for many decades. The clearing operations in different parts of the city is one of the top agenda of Mayor Isko Moreno to bring back the old lost Glory of Manila.

Thanks, Maximo, it would be nice if the city of Manila initiates a plan to restore the old historical buildings that were destroyed during WorldWar II, particularly within the Intramuros area, instead of replacing them with new ugly buildings that have no connection with the past. The city of Warsaw was totally destroyed more than Manila during the war, yet it was completely rebuilt to its original design and so gained international recognition.

Good opinion sir maam.ang no problems at all no forms of any vendors on street parks front bldgs church and passenger station. Sana tayong lahat hindi natin tangkilikin ang nagtitinda sa kalasada. Intramuros is one of the few remnants of our rich culture and heritage kaya dapat lang na gawing slum-free yan, para mapreserve. Kailangan na isabatas na ang pagdumi sa mga heritage sites ay isang krimen sa bayan. Dahil ang bayan na hindi lumilingon (at iniingatan) ang pinanggalingan ay di makararating sa pag-unlad na paroroonan.

Serjune Matt hay salamat naman kung ganun! Ang hirap kasi dumaan dyan ng may sasakyan ka kasi yung mga tao hindi tumatabi. Kahit alam nilang may parating na sasakyan. Serjune Matt nandyan kami sa Solano St. kahapon hinatid ko yung anak ko sa Dormitory. Nung binaybay na namin yung mga street pabalik o pauwi dito sa amin sa Antipolo nasa daanan mismo mga tao. May naglalakad, may nakaupo nagkukwentuhan kahit yung nakamotor hihinto sa gitna may kakausapin hindi natabi. Mr Mayor, if it’s not happening yet, you should let the building owners be responsible in cleaning their own sidewalks or the property that belongs to them. If they don’t clean, give them a ticket. Ang laki nga ng difference ng Plaza de Santo Tomas! Noon di mo matatanaw o mapapansin ang plaza kung magmumula ka ng Plaza Espana o sa BPI. Nakakaawa ang plaza noon. Puro kalat, tambak ng mga lumang mga gamit at tinambayan ng mga pulubi. Mabuti naman at nalinis na yan ng Intramuros Administration. Ang Intramuros ay isang national park kaya di sakop ng city government ng Maynila. Ang nangangasiwa diyan ay ang Intramuros Administration na under sa Department of Tourism. sila ang namuno sa clearing operation sa lugar na yan sa kadahilanang parte sya ng plano na ma-rehabilitate ang Walled City. Medyo mabagal lang talaga mag-implement ang Intramuros Administration. Pati ang pag-relocate ng mga squatters na nakatira sa side streets at kahit sa main street na tulad ng General Luna Street ay di matatapos hanggang 2021. Yung mga stalls ba sa Magallanes wala na sa kabuuan ng kalye?
