Baladjie Rock FREE CAMP - Western Australia - Updated

Baladjie Rock is located in the shire of Westonia and is a popular place for camping, picnics and for bush walking.
The reserve is located on the Koorda-Bullfinch road and is 42km north of Westonia.
There are no facilities at the rock besides a toilet so you need to have everything with you when you visit.

I don't know why, but it was one of my favourite spots in my caravanning days which I am no longer able to do. The isolation, the wildflowers, the raw beauty. The walks around the rock, the nesting peregrine falcons on the east side and the views from the top all added to several memorable trips. Thanks for bringing back the memories!

I love these quiet places and plan to head out that way when it's cooler. This latest wave of heat has grounded us so your video clips are certainly a welcome way to satisfy the wander bug. There is some background talk in this while we are in the car that isn't meant to be commentray for the video. Hopefully the main voice over came out ok (I can hear it fine on my speakers). I did add some birds sounds for effect but they are a bit low I guess. Not much trffic out that way LOL

Well talk about perfect timing. I have just looked at this place as a possible overnight camp spot in April when I go to South Aus. Do you think the track in of the road is suitable for a road caravan

Generally the track in is good if it isn't wet. I have seen it chewed to bits in places after a lot of rain - to the point where it becomes pretty much 4x4 only.
