He’s using auto tune/pitch correction, but pretty much every pop artist uses it live. It’s also part of the sound of that style of music, the glissando up to the pitch kind of effect. Now, as a musician myself, i don’t view it as a bad thing, pitch correction is pretty standard everywhere.

I have not always been a fan but I am also a recovering addict and alcoholic and I should have recognized that his behavior was related to his addiction! I love to hear him sing now and seeing the changes he has made, continues to make today, and feel extremely confident he will make in the future just puts a big smile on my face every time I see him! And I am sad to say that I am highly disappointed in myself for judging him instead of praying for him! Honestly … ever since I saw him play warped tour in 2011 and he released the collab with Ester .. i instantly fell in love with MGK as an artist . I wasn’t really big on his pop punk phase (After- I think I’m okay)since I felt like it was overdone so many times by people and what made MGK stand out in the first place was that he was original and doing things that no one was doing at the time. I mean how many rappers would you see at warped tour ?? Now even though a lot of artists are taking the country road, I think MGK and post are the two guys doing it their own way. Good for Colson finding his way back and showing those of us who have been a fan since 2011.. why we are EST FOR LIFE !
