@@guilhermedaselva4046 Close. Expectations are what leads to disappointment. Because of our blindness to see the world as it is. Instead we see the promises we give to ourselves and none other can fulfill. This disappointment leads to frustration which we cannot accept that we are it's makers. And as it burns we grow resentful of those who forced us to endure this pain. Who failed our expectations. We throw burning coals to hurt the others only to burn ourselves in the process. And this is the anger.

This lyrical style, which fousses on despair, negative emotions and evils that are harder to comprehend and more intrinsic in nature is very refreshing, compared to the pure satanic themes that are much to common in the black metal scene. Of course, satanic themes are not bad per se, and are also fitting for black metal, but to be honest, they are overused, and also often done in a lazy, uncreative way, which relies just on repeating the same keywords and cliches over and over.
@memedaddy7934 жыл бұрын

I mean, those lyrics are really only common in raw black bands that are going for that whole 90s, 2nd wave black metal gimmick, a lot of newer black metal bands deal with way more than just satanism when it comes to lyrics. Panopticon, Xasthur, Shining, Peste Noire, Midnight Odyssey, just to name a few, deal with society, depression, drugs, nature, countryside life, space etc. See how much variety there is? And these are the more known bands, I didn't even want to start with underground stuff. If you only listen to black metal that deals with boring satanist lyrics, I suggest you search a bit deeper lol

If there ever was a soundtrack to existential crisis and all the nihilistic philosophy related to it, this would be it.

@@artyizgarus1288 Yeah, but as a Pole I can only admit, that this translation is accurate and well pointed. Btw polish language is great for poety. There is a guy from Japan in the polish youtube, that speaks polish and live in Poland (Ignacy z Japonii) who said that he's in owe of polish language, cuz for example in polish language Poles do not repeat words. So a simple question in japanese would look like this: Japanese (in english :P): Daiki goes to school. I like Daiki, he's my best friend. We often meet with Daiki to play chess, Daiki often plays better than I do. Polish (also in english): Daiki goes to school. I like this guy, he's my best friend. We often meet with this 18yo lad to play chess, dude often plays better than I do. So it's all about: Poles are learn in school that repeating is wrong - DO NOT REPEAT, BE CREATIVE ;)

Great music and great lyrics. Not that ordinary "horror, satan, blood, evil, demons...." shit, but real lyrics with meaning. And this picture fits so perfectly with whole atmosphere of music. Absolute perfection!

@maurmmiranda6 жыл бұрын
whats wrong with "horror, satan, blood, evil, demons...."??
@selmirikanovic6 жыл бұрын
Well nothing, there are just way too many bands who base all of their lyrics on that same mentioned topics and to be honest, it is really boring. Satan, demons etc. are all too well mentioned enough in classic Norweigan black metal and endless bands that copied or followed that style. I find it refreshing when new bands come with new toppics, like Mgla and Batushka, since they base their style and lyrics on eastern (anti) christian (orthodox) and pagan motives that are quite different from western christianity (catholic). For me it is especially interesting since I live in part of Europe where people practicise hard-core orthodox christianity.

I was struck with fear and i had to turn it off . After that i listened to it again multiple times and the eerie feeling came back but in an interesting way . Addicting .
