I can see where Animaniacs gets it's brand of humor from. Seriously, MGM Cartoons are like the crazier, wackier, zanier, funnier and more violent version of Warner Bros.' Looney Tunes and Melodies. Tex is the king of fourth wall breaks in animation. What makes you think shows like Ed, Edd n Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Billy and Mandy, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, Chowder and Uncle Grandpa paid homage to the classic WB and MGM cartoons ?

Warner Bros. Animation has got to make a reboot of the classic Tex Avery cartoons with Pete Browngardt, Tom Ruegger, Spike Brandt, Tony Cervone, Sherri Stoner, Paul Dini, Bill Kopp and Darrel Van Critters on board. I'm sure the reboot will actually pay tribute to the Warner Bros. and MGM cartoons Tex was known for. Unlike what DIC came up with in the 90's.
