Our principal managed all of the assemblies and it really seemed like she knew what she was doing. It’s still a great school, but we’ve gotten two new principals since then and now the presentation quality is much less professional. Imagine going from a light blue, well laid-out Keynote theme in 2011 to a dark blue PowerPoint theme with red text (ew) and black text (EW).

My absolute favorite song, it honestly has a good message and I feel like it's talking to me. I remember as a child a lot of bad things happened and I wasn't really happy. The life of a child should always be pleasant, and filled with happy memories. However the bad stuff that has been thrown in your life as a child, has to be left behind, you should only take the lessons and good stuff with you. As you grow older, a lot of the child memories fade and get blurry as you experience more. However it is always important to remember the mistakes that you made when you were younger, as they deeply influence you as an adult. No matter what happens to you and your family, you should always carry the lessons and good along the path of life, leaving the bad behind for experience. Our family trees have very harsh pasts but those carry out through life as we get older, helping us on the way. This honestly makes me feel better about me and my childhood and where I am now. Finding meaning in these songs are the best part in my opinion and I hope you have an interpretation that can help you :)

It can be interpreted many ways but to me it's a warning to be careful of greed and excess, that more of something is not always good but you'll always want more when you don't need it. A family of trees- you surrounded by loved ones or whatever. Wanting to be haunted- the want for something that you can't have, a lost love or passed relative or the want of something you don't need. But whichever it is, be careful of that want.
