My apartment just installed one of these to replace my broken one. When I start the wash it just makes this low humming sound a long pause and then another humming sound. Water never comes out. Do you think they installed it wrong?

Water is probably not turned on for the machine, same thing happened to me and landlord told me there was a knob beside it and to push it the other way to turn the water on

Is the dryer supposed to automatically shut off when set on optimum? In your video you mentioned it takes about 15 minutes... do you just check on it at that time? I let mine run and it did not shut off even after 30 minurs. I shut it off myself and everything, even jeans, was dry.

Yes it stop itself when dry . Even towels don’t normally take that long . Check filter is clean .
