Man the skill gap in this game is huge. I did the event apex solo with sword and shield. I was happy I did it in 43 mins with no carting. I really need to practice my guard pointing so I can stop using tanky builds.

take your time man, i was using ls when i started to play rise. my high rank hunt stays between 13-22 minutes lol, and lot of carting bcs I never remember their movements. but now im using sns with full nargacuga sets, the builds are much more forgiving for casual players with the evade windows and extender!

Shoryugeki has a really long guard point at the beginning. Try using it about half a second before the attack lands. Also remember that you can only counter attacks from the front. Other than that, familiarize with the tells of each attack. GL and may you carve plenty of gems

@@wallacesousuke1433 I am not really a fan of the remake in general. It seems to not understand the original game that much at all and I think the themes are a very good example of that. What I mean is the remake soundtrack is more epic and generic and it makes the themes lose most if not all of there mood and atmosphere. The soundtrack reminds me in a lot ways of the dark souls 3 soundtrack that is made to focus on the action and spectacle that dark souls 3 has. But here’s the thing demons souls’s strength isn’t in its action but in its atmosphere and how all the mechanics together create this incredibly tense and oppressive experience that truely makes you dread dying and I feel like this is clearly what the devs were going for. Think about how the game has little checkpoints and how dying results in the game getting harder due to the tendacy system and the fact that consumable items are so important that dying once you made it far (and probably used loads of items) everything is trying to make a very punishing experience that causes compounding deaths because things can go down hill fast if you die too much and in the wrong places. This is what demons souls’s strength was and every change the remake does seems to remove it from this experience what made the og and even still the remake so engaging. For clarification this doesn’t ruin the remake it just makes it inferior imo.

Im by no means a speedrunner I just like making dumb builds and so far my resentment guard 5 offensive guard SnS has been stupidly effective for no good reason. Its not this tier of speedrunning but for a casual set its nutty. I love watching runs but I could never do it my self
