That amatsu fight had everything. All the trappings of the final fight in a shonen anime. The main characters struggling against form 1. Their friends stopping a lethal attack and turning the tide The big bad showing that they werent even really trying yet, and a form change. The mentor returns for one final act of bravery to give the main crew a chance A full team combo attack, where every move sets up the next The big emotional flashback And one huge, final attack that ends the fight Absolute masterpiece. I would have never guessed that a "lets fucking gooooooo" scene could give me chills

Seeing all those monsters fighting Amatsu alongside the Hunters makes me wish something like that happens for the next Monster Hunter Stories game. Valstrax's theme kicking in is so hype-inducing. Also, never expected to see Parodius-dancing Velkhana in this video, but it's a welcome surprise!

Okay, that final battle with Amatsu is why I want the Riders from Stories to be part of a *mainline* entry. Seeing monsters and hunters working together like that was beautiful. Hell, I'd even take some invasive monster that is such a threat to the locale it actually makes the local monsters decide in the spur of the moment to fight alongside the hunters, like Godzilla vs Ghidorah in King of the Monsters.
