Ye gods I miss the simplicity and groundedness of these older games. There's nothing like it on the market anymore. Nothing where you just grab a bigass sword and go get your face pushed in by a dragon without magic, super attacks, puppettering bugs, magical grappling hooks, and the like. I hope they remaster this game at some point, add in most of the new QOL stuff, and just leave the combat alone.

This Game still has 2 weapons that work just cause yes, the CB is extra crazy, super broken and can obliterate everything in front of it, and it's impossiboe to know how it fucking works, so it aint that grounded, and the Switch Axe, even if it's not new it also works just on hopes and dreams, and can make real big fucking explosions, and lets not forget that the gunlance has infinite ammo, the sword and shield has a magical pocket, and there is a rainbow color for armor that is always changing even if you sit still and dont change the angle of the light, and even if you dont wanna admit it, this game still has magic, or can you explain why this Shagaru makes ground explosion even if it did not touch that ground? You are just blinded by nostalgia man, Monster Hunter has always been crazy and it will keep being that way

@@Rikkson2.0 The point wasn't that it needs to be realistic. Just that the combat got way too mobile and supermove-laden. Pogo stick and charge blade I wasn't big fans of, but even then, you still had the lower mobility that made positioning and knowledge of patterns far more important than it is in the more modern versions. I'm not saying it's bad in the new way, so please don't take it as me attacking what used to be my favorite series and is still one I rather like, because that would be gross. Just that the direction they've gone in isn't one I find enjoyable, and lacks what drew me into the series in the first place. That's all.
