This is it. This is the reason I love my *hero* academia. The intro alone feels like a comic con recap of the last season. And everything why I love my hero Academia. It’s inspirational. I was once that weak child, told I couldn’t achieve, or amount to anything. Then I watched this anime. Dealing with imposter syndrome and moving on. It’s been crazy but I feel worthy now.

Izuku Midoriya didn’t care if he had a quirk or not, and when he ran up to that sledge that held Katsuki Bakugo, it didn’t just encouraged All Might to rescue Bakugo, but it also encouraged him to give Midoriya ONE FOR ALL, and thanks to that, Midoriya can successfully accomplish his dream of becoming a hero, and he rescues anyone that is in need and stops anything and anyone in his way to do so.

I usually don't write comments, but I feel compelled to do so for this. This video has genuinely been motivating me for the better part of a year. It has helped me through my lowest points, through my failures, even through a break-up. I almost idolize Deku's mentality and this video captures his exact core morals. Everytime I see it, I get chills. I thank you with everything I have for this. Update: It had been 9 months and so much has happened. I got out of a toxic, manipulative relationship and this video held me strong. My aunt got breast cancer and this video held me strong. Although I’m only 17, life is starting to feel incredibly rough. This video is my motivator, what wakes me up in the morning. I refuse to give up. I REFUSE to give up.

I think this perfectly demonstrates why I like Midoriya so much, I think there's a part of me, well maybe a lot of others too, that constantly feel dwarfed next to the expectations that others have of ourselves, That no matter what we do, we won't be as good as someone else in our shoes, But the truth is, there is just one you, and if you do your best, those who truly love and respect you will be grateful. Good vid bud.
@imaran13032 жыл бұрын
I am not saying you are wrong, but for me, it was that Midoriya NEVER had any expectations of him. When he was quirkless, no one expected anything of him. He hated it, he wanted to be a hero and was always willing to do what was necessary. As such, when people started relying on him, when expectations were finally put on him, he was willing to break himself to live up to them. To me Bakugo was always the one who was being crushed by the expectations put on him from when he was a toddler and his quirk first manifested.
@psychgeekgirl3037 Жыл бұрын
I hear what you’re saying and it is true that Bakugou was crushed by expectations, but I’d like to counter about the expectations on Izuku. Izuku is the equivalent of a disabled child (everyone treats him as though he can’t) while that may not seem like expectations, it is. It’s an expectation to FAIL. Izuku from the start, was expected to fail. It’s why his mom said she was sorry. “You’re disabled. You can’t be a hero. You can’t be anything. I’m sorry I made you wrong.” That’s what hurt so much. Despite this, Izuku continued to believe that he could. When everyone expected him to fail, he took those expectations and “smashed that future” and it was made nowhere more apparent than at the sludge villain incident. When other heroes were limited by their expectations, by their quirk; he refused. He had no power but knew Bakugou needed help, that’s all that mattered. His ability, or lack thereof, didn’t matter. Someone needed help. He was going to do it. To me, that’s what makes him different. Everyone expected him to fail. Even when he got the power that was still the expectation. “He’s too timid,” “he’s too plain” “Mirio would’ve been better” “Bakugou is stronger”. The thing is, to him that doesn’t matter. He knows he’s expected to fail. But he’s going to succeed anyway. Because to him, that’s what a hero does. “Smile, no matter how bad things get.” Now he’s expected to succeed, not because of talent or because of his quirk, but because of WHO he is. And he’s constantly breaking those expectations. Bakugou crumbled under expectations to succeed, as anyone would as it’s a lot of pressure; but Izuku refused to believe in the expectation to fail. “They discontinued that rule, I could be the first applicant to make it into UA without a quirk” he believes in himself, when no one does.

I know this show gets a lot of hate sometimes especially now with the latest season. However videos like this, showing the progression of young midoria, are perfect. He has a madness deep within, he wants to make people smile and be a hero. He turned a hero killer stain from intent of killing him to sparing him immediately. That says a lot about his character. Meddling where you do not have to is the true marks of a hero.
@hash2715 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for making this. It is really well edited and I can see that your whole heart was into making it so well. Deku shows that even the weak (deku being quirkless) have a heart (his determination) as big as the strong (allmight being the strong), though they can’t show that heart if no one allows them too. (Bakugo bullying deku) Deku shows that the weak can be strong in heart (deku saving bakugo from the sludge villain with no power but with determination like no other). He got ofa because of his heart and determination, he got all the other quirks from the past users because his heart and determination allowed them to give him their respect and even inspiring others (uruaka and bakugo and lida for example) Deku is great.
