Uraraka and Bakugo probably are the students who cares the most for Deku so realisticially they would get the most sad over his death. And this might seem pretty weird but I'm somewhat happy you didn't tell them that deku survived cause that just made everything more sad. If you make a part 2, then do whatever you want however you want. I can't wait to see it, that is if you make another part.

Bakugo at the time probably thought that his brain wouldn't remember the trauma and he would be fine when he was bullying him but what he dint know is that your brain doesn't finish development until your 20 so midorias turama stuck with him with a negative impact on the brain and that bakugo turned his life a different direction for him if he didn't he probably wouldn't be were he is today in the animé
