the thing you described "another world that seems very real to him" sounds like maladaptive daydreaming !!!! it's a actual disorder where someone is constantly daydreaming to the point the world may seem real to them, it maybe be a result of psychosis if you get the the point where you are actually believing that is 100% real and you are a character in it, because that's called a delusion

Yes! That is kind of where i got the idea from, i didn't want it to be a regular reaction video of past life or future so i went with somthing different. I didn't want to portray it incorrectly so i left it as "this is what happens when he daydreams/sleeps" so it would be up for interpretation as to why/how he does that but that was what originally sparked the idea!

I've actually studied a bit on maladaptive daydreaming (psychology class) and the best way I can describe it is lucid dreaming, but it happens during the day and you might not always be fully unconscious :) The way you described it was really thorough as well, it is basically just when you are dreaming but it seems so real that when you come back to "reality," you might not be able to grasp which one is real. The human brain is fascinating, and there is still so much to be discovered about things like this, and other concepts, like how are we so certain that this reality that we're in is truly real? I'm not gonna go into that just cause I don't want to start an existential crisis for anyone, but it's such an interesting concept :)

I have this hc that yellow electro is purple electro just in a more powerfu/advanced form thats why u dont see any electro vision users with it bcs it takes decades/years to master snd if dobe too early could lead to death in this au i like to imagine that fischl/kaminari advanced to the yellow stage too quickly but since he has/had oz or say oz was absorbed in his vision to help regulate the advancement and using it too much causes overload :D
