Just wait until he learn Shanahan’s schemes with Purdy throwing to him … Bang bang ‼️
@GalathNoxАй бұрын
He's going to be so confused in the 49ers offense with Brock Purdy throwing him passes. When he was at UF he had to make so many acrobatic catches with guys nailing him as soon as he touched the ball. Going to seem strange to him catching passes in stride with wide open field ahead of him.

I think you have to also look back at 2 years ago when they were attacking downfield much more with Anthony Richardson at Florida. Pearsall did a lot of different things then than he did last year.

He reminds me of a Robert woods type player. Someone who can win on the outside as best suited in the slot but has strong hands good footwork and is reliable. He's probably higher in the raw athleticism area than Robert woods though was coming out of the draft

What a pick for the 9ers. The experts who say it's a reach are judging that based on his trash QB play. The player is dynamic.
@travisov5 ай бұрын
It's because "experts" didn't spend time on his film. The 45% in-breaking routes is a YUGE stat for the SF staff. Shanahan probably got lost in his film and I'd say there's no more of an "expert" than him when it comes to WRs
@marcsousa49045 ай бұрын
@travisov this dude is gonna be electric in that offense. Basically added a taller Edelman type player with that surrounding offensive cast. Would not be surprised if he produces more than 1 of the top 3 WRs picked in the top 10.

That's the number one thing that jumped out to me with his film. The QB play was atrocious. And he still managed to produce.

Can _any_ 'expert' truly assess by film? I'm willing to bet $ that they are no better than fans in the comments section at it. My favorite example is this video someone made showing the college highlights of Caleb Williams & Justin Fields kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3uyYoOpqtV5lbc. One of these QBs throws Pretty Spirals that get the Oohs & Aahs but will miss their targets by miles even when the QB isn't pressured. The _other_ launches low-flying missiles that hit his covered receivers in the hands before defenders can make plays on them that the receivers don't even have to reach for, creating more YAC. I have to sell people on it by lying about which QB is which. No one will *look at* a reality that doesn't conform to their beloved internet memes. & if you want to argue that "NFL 'experts' are better &/or don't allow social media memes to influence them" well you're just delusional. How many teams tried to get Fields as a starter? None? Why? Does his arm not still do this amazing stuff? Yup. Only the receivers he got in the NFL were possibly The Worst Group he could have gotten. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZ3TkqyXZd2tY5Y are his INTs from '21. He didn't even play a full season yet his "#1 WR" managed to deflect no less than 3 passes that hit him in the hands to the other team. No one blamed Mahomes for Toney doing this all last season. But Fields? He led the pre-D.J. Moore Bears to being the best offense in the NFL weeks 8-10 of '22. The Bears lost all those games. The Bears' own fans said "this just proves *_Fields_* can't win games." If experts & NFL coaches & GMs aren't this stupid how come none of _them_ can separate out what the QB does from the end results? If we applied this same thinking to Justin _Herbert, _*_HE_*_ would be a bust_ because he too 'can't win games.' Nope. Not *one* of these 'experts' can see his elevation of that roster to scoring more than Allen or Burrow separate from the empty internet memes. "He can't read defenses." Even if true, that just makes weeks 8-10 more impressive. Getsy should have won coach of the year for scheming an offense that out-scored Tyreek & JJ with a QB who couldn't read defenses, no? That's what I mean. memes replace thinking. Oh, & Fields kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6bLhpV_iNOlbtU reads defenses at an elevated level. It _was _*_only_* the play-calling & roster holding him back.

Piersall has possession receiver written all over him. Purdy’s unique skill is putting a dime into a sliver of a window. Kyle’s offense turns on long drives. Check. Check. Check. Seal it with a 42” vertical and no drops.

saying AD Mitchell is better at this moment is a hard argument to make, but AD probably has the highest or tied for the highest ceiling in the class. The question is whether he puts it all together. And yes, I believe AD at his ceiling is higher than Rome at his ceiling. It just so happens to be that AD's floor is a cavern to the dark abyss which makes him a risky pick.
