Evergreen song! I remember singing this special hymn back in the 80s and 90s in our local church (Gospel Faith Mission)in Ikare Akoko, Nigeria. Learnt all the lyrics by heart then. We sang without any accompanying instruments cos there was none! But it was heavenly especially the last stanza.

In Nigeria, it is often sung at wake keep for funerals. It is very sombre! It easily draws tears!
