If you're MR6, then I'd recommend getting the Soma. It comes with two V Polarities and is a very good crit gun that can easily carry you all the way up to lvl 100 ;)

Xata's whisper is a great addition to the mod to skip any accuracy mods because the void status effect functions like a mag bubble, making accuracy unimportant. The only thing about Xata's Whisper, however, is that you should NOT use it while charging your incarnon. Getting direct headshots with it is nearly impossible outside of the first shot. So save it for the incarnon mode.

Big note for anyone looking to grab the Phenmor and are just getting to that point of the story. To unlock the final evolution, the 2000% damage on non crit one, you must complete a mission with an incarnon in every weapon slot. So you will need to source 2 others either from the holdfasts, later in the story, or through unlocking steel path and evolving weapons from the steel path circuit.

For Evolution 3, The Reload from empty actually affects the shift into the incarnon form. If you shift while reloading from empty, it will speed up the shift animation with the increase reload speed from empty evolution equiped.

"Some Zariman resources." My dude, you need to kill 45 Void Angels MINIMUM to be able to get Devouring Attrition on the Phenmor just because of the last challenge in the gun. Don't get me wrong, it's totally awesome and I definitely advise getting it, but ow.

Just fill up your mods with multi-shot and aim for the head. It's not necessary to kill the angel, but if you're going to do that, use a well-built secondary to compensate for the lack of damage from the primary. The same goes for Laetum or Felarx.

For the 2nd evolution, I definitely think the increased projectile speed is absolutely worth it. The normal mode has fairly fast projectiles (120m/s) so it doesn't need the increased speed, but it still helps. The incarnon mode has fairly slow projectiles (80m/s) so the increased speed makes a huge difference. The increased accuracy + reduced recoil evolution is definitely good and useful, but I think that overall the increased projectile speed is better. For the 4th evolution, I disagree that the -Crit evolution is the only viable one. The evolution which reduces the number of headshots required for incarnon mode is the one I use because makes it much easier to stay in incarnon form for longer, and it is worth the slight drop in damage (because more hits will be crits and thus not trigger the 5th evolution).

The Burston Prime Incarnon is definitely up there with the Phenmor! If you run a Crit Buffer like Harrow, then the Burston is definitely the better choice because with all these crit buffs, you can get it even higher. But the great thing about the Phenmor is that it simply doesn't need any buffs to be awesome :D

the phenmor and felarx have a very interesting interaction with frost, specially with breach surge subsumed. it makes the shots crit, even when they dont crit, doing massive damage. 320 million damage type of situation

Lucked out with my Phenmor riven, +Slash, +Toxin, -CC. Basically the same build as with your status damage build, except vigilante is switched to cold for an easy viral + slash build. As the evolution -CC is calculated after modding, I'm sitting at a comfortable 0.5% critical chance.

Acolytes, for example, have full on DPS limit that can only be surpassed with crits, hence Phenmors' +2000% is doing nothing. Most enemies that have damage attenuation ignore crits for calculations, so in most cases, the only viable way to increase DPS would be through crits where Phenmor is literally the opposite. Also, for very late game content like netracells, necramechs are a common enemy where by hitting a weakspot shots gain additive crit chance (+100% if I rememeber correctly) and by "just don't hit weakspots" one would do virtually no damage. Phenmor is not bad, that's true, but just waaaaay weaker than other crit alternatives if not mostly useless for most if not all special enemies/bosses. Would've been neat if You had mentioned that.

@@nekoyumi7064 I am using Burston incarnon modded for Radiation + Cold with Primary Frostbite arcane for special enemies/bosses. Melts them. As for crowds, I found nothing more convenient and powerful than Tenet Cycron (magnetic progenitor) modded for Viral + Heat. Melts (non-status-immune enemies aka everything else) as well. Hope this info helps and good luck!

@@pxpe7962 Unless one was to use specific melee, like gunblades, I doubt it'd be easy or convenient to hit a weakspot on necramechs or floating archons. Yes, I do have Furax Wraith that I can use to kill Malice acolyte (the magnetize bubble one) or any acolyte to think of it quickly and easily, but I have it mainly for secondary fire rate buff or just to slam ground during parkour to speed up movement. Also guns just generally have more dps and are more convenient to use.

@@Feniko_Fierce Well Phenmor is an Archon slayer so you dont need melee for that. On Necramechs and Acolytes i use melee. Armor strip Acolyte and it should be dead in second with melee. Those Netracell Necramechs tank a full team anyway they are hard to kill but i use melee for that too.

Great build! The Phenmor is amazing like most Incarnon weapons. It’s just a shame that you need headshots to charge the Incarnon mode. I’m struggling with this on console with a game pad and consequently never use Incarnon weapons apart from Torid.

Oh I can totally see that being a problem. I once played Call of Duty on a friend's Playstation and I completely lost my orientation on a gamepad xD I actually have an older video where I talk about the best weapons for mobile focussing on stuff that is strong without requiring precise aim. I absolutely recommend the torid incarnon, next time it comes around in the circuit, because since it’s a launcher weapon, you only need direct body shots to charge it. The torid is a decent weapon even without the adaptor, though, so I’d recommend building it ASAP!

I personally like the phenmor quite a bit but I can’t help but think it’s not a break all weapon. Yes, it’s powerful, but you would expect that much from the amount of time and investment you need to pour to get it built. 15 void pinions are ass to get if you mostly solo, specially since you can only either Trade with Yonta, hunt from Angels spawning on any zariman missions or depend on the guaranteed spawn marker from bounties. If running with others, it’s many times easier since you can just have some deal with the objective while one person tackles the angel. Every other material needed comes naturally during the process. Heck, could even subdivide the roles so some have parallax air support and golden instinct to track down the pickup plumes while the rest deal with angel/main mission objective. Still, I really find amusing how people see acolytes as a benchmark on how good a weapon is. Rather, I think it should be on how badly you build something. Elemental enhancements + average star chart weapon can perform well enough. You could always do a single, two at most, heavy slams with sampotes and wipe out acolytes. Heck, if you bothered to get galvanized mods at all you can just double dip on elemental enhancements like shocktrooper or venom dose and quickly dispose of them with pretty much anything you used until before even starting SP. People might call out to sampotes as a chesty weapon even, with how the heavy slams of it seem to break stuff (and sometimes launch enemies outside tile geometry), but it’s an easy go-to, and relatively cheap and mid game weapon that can definitely carry you through SP with little effort. Before SP it’s almost unfair to enemies. The book fellas in Sanctum? One slam on the doppelgänger, one on the book. Zariman angels? One slam per outside phase. Pesky flying enemies? One. Nulls? One. Necromechs? One. And yes, that still holds mostly true to SP as well. Even Archons can get whacked with it a few times. It’s silly.

Part of me is tempted to be a snarky bastard that devouring attrition being multiplicative isn't THAT impressive since it basically just completely replaces your crit chance with a 50% chance to deal effectively a crit... But then I realize that 2000% is still equivalent to a flat 50% crit chance with 20x multiplier which is already ridiculous

Haha I get the confusion after I made multiple videos advocating for haveing only one of each type of Mods. But truth be told, when you don't have to mod for crit (and vs. Archons also no Faction DMG) then there's nothing else you can put into all these slots than more damage that would make sence ;)

@@hejhejaske Not like it actually mattered, Phenmor and Felarx are the easy go-to Archon slayers. Felarx is slightly better because of the weapon switching reload and it's fun to gun-kata between a shotgun and gunblade.

Unlike other modes... The Thrax Centurion is right on top of you when it appears so naturally a Ranged weapon is at a Disadvantage.

Would you make a list of base weapons we should keep in our inventory until we unlock the higher mastery ones? All i have so far is maxed out, and i feel like they wont be useful anymore, unless there's a mechanic that i dont know to fuse them or something. Since the new 'end game' mission uses random weapons with all possible, would be best to keep everything except those that can be prime/kuva/tenet/prisma/wraith, so you never would not be able to run it.

I think what you should keep in your inventory and what not would come down a lot to how many slots you actually have to work with. If you're completely F2P and you don't trade then I'd only keep the absolute best. In the midgame there are a few META picks like the Soma at MR6, the Fulmin at MR8. With MR13 I'd say you're already on you way into late game and can pretty much get anything you like ;)

I have to say that it is interesting that there can be good points to having negative crit now. Granted, i know this weapon has been out of ages. I'm more interested on what we can do with less used effects like "Status duration". Like the cold rework could benefit highly from it.

You can go for more status duration on the Harmony Scythe because it instantly applies the damage of all six bleed ticks at once. Longer duration = more ticks = bigger nuke :D
