Doe's the compo make more damage than 3 charges?. or you just don't want to be stuck in one place and possibly miss?

Since I don't have the speed charge buff. I don't usually charge it to level 3. So, I just hit the monster and run HAHAHAHA! But, level 3 charges combo do lots of more damage compared to what I'm doing.
