Hood, I have found that in stained water, a gold blade on a swim bait does great for flounder.

You can also use a 3 inch spoon and put a 1/0 hook 10-15 inches behind with a worm. Works for all flatfishes.

When I retired, we moved to the pacific northwest, but nowhere near the coast. Wish I could get to the Gulf Coast and throw a line in the warm water. Heck, just put on a raincoat and keep fishing. Or just sit in the back aith thr widows uo and have lunch and wait out the rain.

This spot is one of my favorite bank fishin spots in my opinion. Caught a 30in black drum using blue crab the other day and about 5 redfish. All keepers. You definitely gotta try it again
