This guides are neat, keep making them when you have the time because unlike Freedom Unite, P3rd is half-translated so most of the game material aren't covered or explained properly. Also you might wanna cover those new monster attack mechanics further like from that instance where Rathian grabs you or idk, that seemed to be really deadly

Thanks! Yeah, it's definitely a part of why I want to cover this game. MH can already be really confusing and sometimes misleading, and that's when you *can* read the text and dialogue 😅😅 The pin move is pretty simple. I'm not sure if you can throw a dung bomb at them to instantly get them off of you in this generation, I'll have to try it, but I'm pretty sure that's a 4th gen on thing. You just have to rotate your analog stick a lot, your movement stick (the PSP only had one). Thanks for watching!

I will say that it still shocks me with how improved the designs of both Raths look when 3rd Gen came around. Don't get me wrong, the older designs were the normal for 1st and 2nd Gen MH games. But after seeing how much better they look when 3rd Gen began, it makes the older designs of them look like they're suffering from Might Seed withdrawal symptoms. Of course it's also when the Raths lose their unique themes (although Rathian loses her unique them around 2nd Gen and Rathalos loses his in 3rd Gen if I'm not mistaken but correct me if I'm wrong). Anyways, another well done guide for MHP3rd! I always figured the old gen Raths would cause trouble, especially since Rathian's instant charge activates at frame 1.

6:39 old world Rathian doesn't have poison on the tip of her tail but in her base of her tail, proof to that is even after you cut her tail, the poison element still works. also at the start of the hunt you can hide HUD and then occasionally show it by pressing L.

Depends on the game, so that's not really proof. Dreadqueen Rathian also has poison coming from the tip of her tail, implying that's where it comes from on all of them.

That's from Monster Hunter 1 "Come prepared with fire-resistant armor, and neuter its poison attacks by severing its tail." That's from Monster Hunter World, implying that the poisonous part is the tip of the tail.

I strugle when capturing flying monster, can it be captured after it fly to next area when alr weak like 15:14 ?. Some times i cant even capture it when they fly to the next area after get weaken like that, i duno why.

Well, capturing monsters in this game can be really frustrating, especially if they fly. I don't know what you mean exactly, like... When it leaves the area you're in, you try to capture it and it doesn't work? Are you sure its health is low enough? If it goes to its nest and sleeps long enough, it will restore health and can put it above the capturing threshold, it needs to be low enough. Unfortunately, the only way to know is if the monster limps, which it wont do if it's enraged, or by using an armor skill that will make your paintball mark blink on your minimap when they can be captured.

Oh, yeah, unfortunately monsters in 3rd gen love to run away, if you chase it right away after seeing it limp like that, you should be able to capture it, but it can be very difficult since monsters can seemingly land, fight for like 10 seconds making you think you have time, then run away immediately after you place a trap. It sucks. As long as a monster is under its health threshold and you trap it in a shock or pitfall trap (assuming that one of those works) and hit it with TWO tranq bombs in quick enough succession, it should result in a successful capture. The only thing that can mess that up is if it goes to its nest and rests, or if you take too long hitting it with tranqs I guess, but that's unlikely to happen if you hit both of them while it's in a trap. You don't need to hit the monster anywhere specific, just make sure it hits them anywhere.

Beat this monster with the great lizard banana (ludroth) greatsword, a azuros, helmet and leggings, along with a great jagga mail, gauntlet and belt, I was hoping to make a full set of rathain gear, is it worth it? Specifically the greatsword.

I talk about the armor in the video, you can if you really want, but getting a rathian plate might be annoying. The Greatsword is good enough if you like how it looks.
