@@ExtremeMetalLIVE Monster Hunter Boomers when the weapon isn't literally the simplest thing since sliced bread in new games. Seriously, hunting horn was so simple in the old games. Glad they finally added complexity and more to it than just mashing. Fortunately, everyone loves the new one.

@@FrostyTheCookie They added complexity, but in turn they took out the weapon identity The rise hunting horn has a lot more happening, but they took away the biggest aspect that made the hunting horn good, the methodical aspect of the attacks and the songs The new hunting horn is more of a combo based weapon now, which is a 180 turn from the methodical approach to the weapon, the hunting horn was made to be a slow and well thought weapon capable of playing songs and applying buffs, but now it doesn't even play songs anymore Also the HH was a simple weapon yet it has a high ceiling, you had to think about spacing, dodging, managing your songs and doing the right attacks during each and every opening Now applying buffs is out of the question, it's so easy the weapon almost doesn't need it, spacing is still important but now you can use the wirebug to approach and performing has plenty of s, dodging in rise is not the best thing, since you wirebug for everything now and doing the right attacks now became a doing the best combo Also the old hunting horn was far from mashing wtf, you had to choose attacks according to multiple factors: distance, position, time, and if you were very good prediction, the new hunting horn uses combos of multiple attacks to do a lot of damage Also I see more people liking the old hunting horn better than the new one, and I see it a lot in Deus' server, also the weapon popularity is falling off overtime since the release so it didn't change a lot to say it's much better There are good aspects to the new hunting horn, but the old formula was way better and way less generic

What do you think about the new playstyle tho? I feel like I miss the old HH, I feel like in rise it's a bit too spammy and you barely use any of the moves they added because they are suboptimal in comparison with crush and performance spam. I miss when you needed to use your moves depending on the situation you were in and lining up the trajectory of the weapon with the monster's head. Now we have a jack of all trades move that eats from the rest.

@@leinadlink you are very much correct in the sense that it doesn't feel like there's that mush effort or that your positioning/timing is very rewarded. But I still love the weapon. At least they didn't need the damage into nonexistence because it's a 'support' weapon lmao. That would be the dumbest shit

@@leinadlink I don't feel that way at all with the weapon, personally. I usually always keep to the head, as always, unless I need to break another part. Though, I've never been one for the whole "I have to be as meta as possible", so I don't really feel myself spamming because I use whatever moves look cool. Which is all of them lol I still think your moves are situational, the game is just different than prior entries, so it's easier to line specific situations into your favor. I do wish they gave you the option via Switch moves to have the old play style. GU at least had Guild Style for the old school folks.

@gabriel raspatelly he's probably referring to playing with randoms. Most hunts will always have them running around, dodging and luring monsters away unintentionally. I do bring each switch skill for every hunt, but I only ever find the opportunity to use the egg when monsters are down or for wake ups.
