Great hunt as always. I feel kind of bad because I haven't figured out this game and hunt take me 15 to 20 minutes solo or with people, and here you are making it in less tha 5 minutes

Don't worry it's normal. You'll get better at the game with practice, also remember mh speedrunners are doing their best at following a scripted fight, it isn't something you do on casual hunts even if you're very good.

2:00 this is the correct way. You do not heal when u can damage! Heal after mizutsune get backup. Healing when u stun or stagger the monster is just stupid. Mai show us the perfect way to deal with these situations. When u cc the monster after being knockbacked, do not heal!

Looks like there's a fair bit of room for improvement with both SS RNG and with topples, but overall great run! Looking forwards to sub-3 whenever you manage it! PS: On another note, unpopular opinion time, but am I the only one who really dislikes how in Rise monsters topple when you hit the head instead of just flinching like it was in past games? I get it makes things easier but weird when I'm used to getting trips from legs and flinches from heads...

How do you choose when to change from thunder to slicing ammo ? Great run by the way

using thunder pierce during the knockdowns. probably just because limitation of slice and sticky ammo just isnt dealing enough HP, need the thunder pierce to get all the way

@@devincrenshaw3513 yeah well I kinda figured this out already, but she's not really doing only this on knockdown, I think she just pray to have enough slicing ammo before the quest end and doesn't have any reason other than "feelings" when she switches ammo from thunder to slicing... I do the same but I was wondering if she knew something that I don't dps wise. Thx for taking the time to explain tho

@@kofalmg3636 when the tail is glowing it’s a really big weak point, I think he uses thunder pierce in those situations to get the most out of the continuous weak point from head to tail, when it’s not glowing then switch back to slicing

Also in some of the later knockdowns Mai uses piercing thunder at first, then waits to shoot slicing until the monster will be up again by the time it explodes. That way he can sort of preload damage to get the next topple straight away after the current one finishes, since you don’t contribute to knockdown thresholds whilst the monster is in a knockdown (similar reasoning to why you only stick at the end of a KO to set up the next)
