I abused the hell out of the dive in IB too, you could go straight into a tornado slash from it and back up in the air. Quite a lot of fun. :)

I use it considering the sharpness.

The old are simply better unfortunately. Fewer hits = less sharpness loss. Tetraseal has really bad animation commitments and lacks the mobility of Tornado Slash to stick to the monster like glue while simultaneously dodging attacks. The new counter is slow and error prone, also has more hits and as such sharpness loss, and doesn't transition into Tornado Slash the way the original gapcloser does.

Just FYI: You don’t need to farm HR Narga to get marrows. If you do the village hub Narga quest then you have a high chance of getting a marrow as a quest reward.
