It’s interesting going back and seeing these older runs and how much builds have improved due to new armor being released. You got really unlucky with some of your crits, but other wise this was super clean.

In a few cases that will get better as you learn the monsters tho. Also sometimes just go for the level twos if you are unsure about how long its gonna stay put

You only need to hold the direction when pressing the attack button, you can return the stick to neutral while charging

Hey @Prey Dator ive been looking at your build and i know i gotta get past Tempered Kirin to start getting better decos but so far my build for GS is: Vaal Hazak GS 8 rarity DK eyepatch Daora chest A Death stench B Nerg belt B Death stench B ATK charm III WE x2 ATK x6 Handicraft x4(?) Focus x2(?) Divine blessing And this is with the storymode atk deco and some other low rarity jewels. Lemme know how it is (as i know i still need crit boost jewels and others) as ive been looking at your build and reading forums and advice as i am new to MH and the GS took my attention off of the charge blade lol.

I used the exact same set up for awhile. I've since switched to the Nerg helm and the teostra gloves. It maxes out Attack and adds 2 points in Might. Looks ugly as sin because the gloves are bright red. Lol

Casey Harris If you've been doing it with other people then i recommend doing it on your own rather than doing it in multiplayer. In my opinion soloing tempered Kirin is WAAAAAY easier since you can really take your time with it as opposed to multiplayer where you get teammates that spam attacks on Kirin just to get one shotted and ruining everything. Unless of course you have friends who you can trust with helping you.

Actually if I were to be more specific, how do you micromanage your aiming/camera? I have a lot of times where I try to rotate while charging attacks and because of the camera I either go completely off target or my character turns in a direction I didn't expect because depending on your camera, sometimes the controls invert. Should I just get in the habit of pressing r3 to refocus on the monster? I just have a basic controller so it feels really awkward sometimes, but it'd maybe better than leaving the monster off screen? lol thanks for any advice boss.

garretoncool9 Getting Focus to level 2 is pretty good. Critical Eye you should try to max if possible and Critical Boost is great at level 1 or 2.

Here's another tip, a lot of people make the mistake of walking around with the GS but that is a massive error. You need to be constantly sheathing and unsheathing, also get into the habit of rolling out of attacks to reposition yourself after a charged hit. Using this tactic you can have the same mobility as a charge blade in sword and shield mode (if not slightly slower).

How do you unlock this quest? I did all available optional quests but got some levels, I believe 5,6,7 or something like that with the silver completed sign, don't know what else to do, I have talked to every NPC with marker, I'm rank 139 I believe, got every Mantle item. WHAT DO I DOOOOO???

Iam Dog Make a thunder gs, its relatively easy and a lot of enemies are weak to thunder. A standard bone gs and zorah magnaros are good as well.

Haji Muhammad Taha Haji Md Tahir its an event quest. All of them are highrank but have lower hp due to how monster hunter scales hp on multi-monster quests
