MHW Iceborne : Furious Rajang solo - w/ Lightbreak Timbre

DISCLAIMER : This HH lacks AuxL so it's not optimal. However, this is my favorite HH of all time. This design means so much more to me so I had to use it somehow...I was able to get a decent time thanks to the boaboa carry. This variant of rajang is bit better. The new moves it has have a better punishing window...however it's still a rajang... I hope you enjoy ! With that I should be done with the ps4 update. I shall wait for this to come on pc for a better run.

I like how you carve the monster after the kill. Most endgame/speedrun hunters on youtube don't do that. I dunno, it gives me immense pleasure that somehow you respected your opponent by carving their bodies XD. Great hunting skills!

This happened to me in 4U too, I had the white and ceimson fatalis weapons and didn't carve anything after but when I saw how much the upgrades cost I never thought about not carving them

If you are wondering how I was able to do 2 flinch shots instead of one, it's because I used slinger capacity 1. This skill has been changed with the stygian update. it makes it so I don't use all my rocks. This was ideal for those wall bangs !

Furious Rajang's side areas are safer than normal Rajang because normal Rajang seems to sweep his sides more as well. Usually people try to stay to the sides to be safe

As a fairly new HH main, I'm kinda curious: what makes this HH so good? Is it the massively high raw ATK + non-negative Affinity? The song list seems okay, at best. I will confess that I do love the design, but then again a good portion of the reason I switched to HH was because almost all of the horns have top-notch design. Thanks for your videos, they've taught how to actually play this amazing weapon! I'm looking forward to your Echo Wave video!

@@ittaiak1246 But they stay for a limited time which is not really viable, btw when You create a bubble, You play that song so anyone in range (usually everyone) already has that effect so bubble is useless. It should stay there until a fixed amount of people ran through it.

Yes, sort of. Since you cannot tenderize rajang's head, you never have full wex active. Because of those affinity issues, I tried to mess with max might. If I did this with a Safi horn, a better way to do this would be to go with a full Safi set. The 40% affinity it gives helps a lot. Thanks for the kind words, Ness Hunter 😁.

replying to an old comment but meh. Also i haven't played any MH other than world so i may say some obvious stuff. So when you attack, the different button presses queue up in your note list. Different songs require you to do different attacks to queue them up for recital. When you press R2 (on controller) you perform the recital which is an attack of its own that after you perform the recital attack, the hunter will stand there for a second with the horn held out and you will hear the horns music as it plays the songs you have queued up. You can queue up to 3 songs at once and if you hold R2 down after pressing it to start the recital attack, you can play all your queued songs back to back. Most songs also have their effects strengthened if you play them twice, such as Attack up L upgrading to Attack up XL. You can also play a single song (or multiple queued songs) twice if you press R2 again right after the song buff is applied, this is called an encore. So on a specific hunting horn, you could queue up the songs for Self Improvment, Attack up Large, and Knockback Negated; Perform a recital with R2, hold the R2 to play all three songs, and after the third song buff is applied press R2 again, and you will encore all 3 songs at once to get their effects extended and acquire their strengthened versions (if they have one). You can also change the attack you perform with the recital if you input a directional command with the recital, this can also be done with encores.

Because Rajang is guaranteed to get out of rage mode after you knock it out of rampage mode ! You can latch onto it preemptively to start clawing as soon as it goes out of that enraged state.
