How us he getting such big dmg numbers?!? In the thousands??? I've played mhw before and getting back rn. Have full fatalis gear and in guiding lands im only doing like 200 on avg with savage axe. Is it consumables? Also, i am interested in joining the hardcore / speedrun community for this game but i feel like i got a lot more to learn about the itemization if thats the dmg numbers possible

why smoke bomb when he goes down?

It basically forces monsters into “search mode” when they lose track of you do to a smoke bomb or spore puffs. They have to look around for at least a couple of seconds, and it basically lets you beat on a monster for a few seconds, risk-free.
